We stayed at the World Center Hotel with our infant son for 3 nights during July. Here is what we thought: Pros -Very new and clean. Rooms are also fairly spacious by Manhattan standards. -Free to use laundry machines available, which comes in very handy when traveling with young children. -Complimentary filtered water with bottles to fill up at every... I booked a very cheap rate for the Club Quarters hotel and on check in was allocated a room in the World Centre part of the bulding instead. The room was on a high floor overlooking the building site and downtown. We had 2 double beds, a comfy chair and coffee table, a desk, fridge and microwave. The room was... More

The hotel was pretty good and we were satisfied even with a pull-out sofa as our bed. Pretty good location, but have a map with you at all times (and a compass if you can't "sense" which direction you are heading. Would reccommend taking the subway wherever you need to go since the main red line (1, 2 and 3),... More

The rooms are small but very modern and clean. They offer free wifi and free filtered drinking water (you fill plastic bottles yourself in the hall way) which is a nice touch. It is kind of noisy though since it is right next to the construction. But it didn't really bother me, kind of like white noise. Bring ear plugs... More

Ok so my daughter and I try to visit NYC once a year. We have stayed at MANY MANY hotels all across the city.. THANK GOD I FOUND WORLD CENTER HOTEL!! So I book the room in advance on their website. The Hotel is smack dab in front of Ground Zero( or as I call it GROUND HERO) I knew... More

This hotel is just like NYC - loud, surly, and it really doesn't want you around. The first thing you should realize is that it is overlooking the WTC construction site, which is under construction 24 hours a day. Don't expect a quiet, relaxing stay - my advice is to drink, and drink a lot. So much that you simply... More

This place does the job, its clean, has everything you could need, the staff were friendly. The room is a little smallish but you're in NYC, the rooms only for sleeping. Everything else is state of the art. That being said it is next to the new WTC site. It is noisy! They worked until midnight and started again at... More

really don't understand the people complaining about the noise. Only an idiot would fail to realise that ground zero, in the the run up to the 10th anniversary would be a busy construction site!! For what it's worth, we had no problem with noise, although in fairness we were at the back of the hotel. Check in and out were... More

Clean small business hotel with only double bed next to windows with view of downtown nyc. Inexpensive, friendly staff and ok bed. Plus self service laundry makes this little gem in nyc a rare find. Noisy as its literally next to rebuilding of the world trade center.

We stayed at this hotel June 24-26, 2011. Our experience overall was a positive one. In regard to the ratings, I agree it is "very good" but be sure to understand it is not a 4 star hotel. The "PROS": the property was very, very clean. There is filtered bottled water available on every floor which is great to take... More
