Stayed in Allie's room, a spacious and cosy studio apartment in Oct 2014. It is a walk-up apartment so it may be slightly tricky using the stairs if you have heavy luggage. Near to subway though I will not recommend staying out too late at night if you are a solo traveller. Overall a good stay.

Great location, close to subway, restaurants, grocery stores and laundromats. The accommodations were very clean, comfortable and quiet. WiFi was intermittent and slow at times. The neighborhood is good, safe to walk around with friendly people. We would recommend this for a short term stay, say a week or so. Good value for money. Nice, private and secure.

We absolutely loved Allie's Inn! Everyone was so nice to us - answering all of our questions. The room was beautiful and pristine. The linins smelled wonderful. Our continental breakfast was perfect. The neighborhood was fantastic and everyone we met was friendly and helpful. Several restaurants were suggested and the ones we tried were fun and delicious.

We spent 4 nights there and had an overall good experience after finding the place (no sign), and learning how to use all those keys and locks. Especially liked the birds and greenery outside our window in the middle of the city. Understand, though, that this is not a traditional 'B&B' in that you will not be having breakfast in... More

My daughter and I spent a week in New York in August, 2014 and really loved Allie's. Her place is immaculate and she was very accommodating Allie went out of her way to make us feel comfortable. The fridge was reasonably stocked and we liked the neighborhood. It felt safe, but be aware that later at night, subway stops are... More

Allie's Inn is a great bargain for some travelers to NYC. I agree with the reviewer who suggested it is for the independent traveler. It is a studio apartment, approximately half a block from a subway station, will firm beds and a good breakfast. I loved the fresh fruit and had forgotten how good NYC challah can be. While I... I have to be honest: when I first saw the neighborhood this hotel was in (we arrived at night), I didn’t feel very comfortable, not very safe even. This feeling proved to be absolutely unnecessary as we didn’t even see something that came close to a threatening situation. However, even if it turned out to be a safe place, it’s... More

*The first sentence of the review references the neighborhood, the guest did not feel comfortable arriving at night. He did state there was not any threatening situations. He should have did a little research before making the reservation, On my website alliesinn.com there is a Transportation Tab with a Google map application, he could have scrolled around the map to... When we first got here it really felt like we were home. We ended up getting the suite while we stayed here. The kitchen was already stocked with breakfast foods that we found to be very convenient. The suite was well furnished and felt very comfortable. Allies Inn was right across the street from the subway and was easily accessible.... More

I lived in NYC for 7 years so I know how to get around it pretty well. I don't really need directions on how to get around it. If you are a seasoned NYC traveler and would like some peace and quiet when you lay your head down to rest, this is the place. You can forget about midtown Manhattan... More
