Location is great! 2 blocks from Penn Station, easy access from JFK and EWR. Free breakfast and wifi gets you up and running. Rooms are small and bathroom is adequate size. All clean and nice. Front desk is ready to help.

I just returned from a school trip and this hotel was everything we needed. The location is fantastic - close to Broadway, Times Square, MSG, and the subway. The staff was fantastic - friendly, helpful and very understanding. Aside from the small footprint of the room, everything was to the standards I've come to expect from a Hampton Inn. The... More

This hotel is great ! Friendly staff , clean and there is complimentary coffee , tea , snacks and games ! They offer continental breakfast with lots to choose from ! The room was on the small side but that's expected the beds were comfy. The location is great walking distance from msg/ penn station like a 1 min walk... More

The location is great, it's in the middle of Time Square and close to subway which worked very good for me and my friends. The rooms are small but I think that is the norm for NYC hotels. This was our first visit and the staff was super helpful, they gave us suggestions on places to go and provide good... More

I stayed at the Hampton Inn from April 17-20 2015. The location is perfect. So close to Times Square, and the rooms are clean and the staff is so friendly and helpful. The two staff members that stick out for me are Chris and Nelson. Thank you so much to both of them for their help and kindness throughout our... More

Having glanced at the other reviews on here, I'd say they are about right. This is a very small hotel, popular with tourists probably because of the location and breakfast included. That popularity means a long long for the just ok buffet breakfast. The rooms are a bit small, but ok. The staff was very nice. The most annoying part... More

The location of the hotel is very fine, the service excellent, the breakfast and wi-fi are ncluded, the staff is very nice. Excellent experience, except for 2 things: the queue waiting for the elevator and the high price. But I do think that these two things are more related to New York than to this hotel!

If you're just looking for a bed and 4 walls, this is it. As soon as you walk into the hotel you can tell there is nothing great about the place. Uncomfortable beds, small rooms, NO VIEWS, tiny showers, 2 elevators but 1 always seems to be broken. Complimentary breakfast is nothing great and the hotel is not that close... More

The room was very, very small and so were the beds- compared to Texas- It was clean thought. Takes forever for an elevator during peak times but you could also take the stairs. Nice breakfast and very good location. The staff was very helpful. Just be prepared for the small room but I'd recommend the hotel. This was our first... More

This is a 'sliver' -- 32 floors tall & only 6 rooms per floor. That means very, very quiet. Easy walk to the entire theater district. Subway access at 8th Avenue & 40th Street (hint: walk to the left of the crowd & like a local walk to the subway). FRIENDLY FRONT DESK STAFF.. "01" rooms are special....! Friendly 20-something... Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
