This was our first stay at East Village apartments but will not be our last. We stayed in the Terrace where the rooms are large, clean, well appointed and nicely decorated. The location in the heart of East Village is very appealing - close to subway, SOHO, Greenwich Village and the fantastic shops, restaurants and bars that this location offers.... More

Good location! Clean and tidy! Comfy beds and loads of room in the garden duplex for a large family! Loads of good restaurants go the whiskey rooms opposite the apartment! I want to go back! Love New York city!

Big place, clean, lots of bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, kitchen, outdoor area, in a nice area. Close to lots of subway stations, with plenty of food places and bars. Great place to stay for a family visiting New York

This is our second holiday in The Terrace at East Village Apartments and we will be back. The location close to Soho is perfect for us since we prefer the village atmosphere of this part of Manhattan to the busy high-rise of mid-town. But when we do visit MoMA and the Met and The Frick it is an easy commute.... More

Great accommodation! We booked months in advance, and it wasn't 'cheap' but turned out to be excellent value! Everything we needed was there including all mod cons and a very attractive outdoor area. The communication was really friendly and efficient, and you couldn't fault the layout and furnishings and space. Even the squeaky stairs added character. Anyone nervous about security... More

We booked the East Village Apartments between friends (2 couples and two singles) for my special birthday NYC holiday. We booked The Penthouse, The Terrace and The Garden Duplex Apartment for 19 nights a fairly long stay. I got to see all of the apartments which were all beautifully presented with everyone thrilled with their accommodations. The apartments were comfortable,... More

We were six girl friends travelling. Loved the apartment, especially the terrace - a haven after a busy day, especially with the Indian Summer we experienced in mid-October. The three bedrooms were perfect for 2 + 2 + 1 persons. We used the daybed in the living room for the sixth person, which worked really well. The whole process of... More

We spent 8 days in New York (4 adults and 2 teenagers). and stayed in both "Garden Duplex" and "Apartment Sol". Booking and communication was very easy, emails were always very promptly replied to and information was clear, concise and always helpful. Very professional. Both apartments were perfect, clean, well stocked kitchens, though Apartment Sol was probably a bit small... More

A year ago I stayed with family in the Penthouse apartment, and this year with friends in Terrace. The service was very friendly and flexible, like last year, and also the apartment was in good shape. We were two persons staying in bedroom and two in living room, but we got an extra bed to the living room, which was... More

Stayed with the family (2 adults + 2 teenagers) at the Terrace apt for a few days over the weekend. Very nice apartment - clean, high ceiling, nice furnitures. The terrace itself (outside) was like a small oasis - perfect place for a cold beer after a busy day on the (hot) streets of NYC. Used the "house" taxi -... More

Staying in East Village

Neighborhood Profile
East Village
There’s still an independent vibe to the East Village, which offers plenty of unique small businesses catering to longtime New Yorkers and area college students alike. The East Village retains a bit of the old-time neighborhood feel that you can still experience today thanks to a mix of locally-owned shops, cozy restaurants, and lively bars. The scale of the residential blocks makes this a wonderful place to wander up and down the streets searching for the newest hip spot, or an old-school favorite. In the center of the neighborhood, Tompkins Square Park serves as a gathering point for the New Yorkers that call the East Village home. The people-watching here is hard to beat.
