We rented The Terrace and loved it. Plenty of room and extremely quiet for sleeping. It was fabulous to have outdoor space complete with table and chairs. The living room was big, comfy and well equipped, as was the kitchen. The only thing we needed was food and Whole Foods was 3 blocks away (however, we just made breakfasts and... More

Stayed 5 nights and it was fabulous. So close to subway, and great food down at the whole foods market. Lovely friendly and helpful staff. Thanks, we had a great stay, and would definitely recommend it.

After two and a half weeks staying in hotels in Mexico and Cuba the Garden Duplex was perfect for the 6 of us. Arrived after midnight exhausted. East Village arranged transfer for us and before we knew it we'd arrived. Dropped our bags and went off to buy a few supplies - it truly is the city that never sleeps... More

Myself and my family enjoyed a 5 night stay whilst my wife and I got married in NYC. We stayed in the Garden Duplex. The owners were very attentive and punctual upon arrival with a comprehensive show around. Each of the rooms were very spacious. My personal favourite element was the coffee percolator in the kitchen! Great to have some... More

The most obvious plus is the living area - a huge space upstairs with cable TV, a good kitchen area and a large dining table. Adjoining it is the best part - a very large verandah/deck with another dining table and also lots of "lounge" seating. Lots of light! Two of the 3 bedrooms are generously-sized; the third one is... We had a wonderful holiday in the Terrace apartment at the East Village Apartments. Booking was easy and straightforward and the apartment was gorgeous and just as pictured. Sudha provided lots of good advice on what to do when we arrived early after a red-eye flight from Vancouver. Rahel was very helpful and nice to deal with during our stay... More

We had four people in the penthouse apartment for a week in June. Absolutely loved the experience there. Excellent location in the East Village, apartment so very clean, and the patio was a great feature!! The staff was very helpful and made sure we were happy the entire time. So much more fun staying here than at a hotel. Will... More

If you don't mind drug deals going down right in front in the open all day, this is the place for you. Great interior and patio for sitting out in but just an awful location with the open dealing in the street and on the patio.

Dear Joe, We thank you for your positive review of our apartment with the lovely patio garden. Our street is next to the New York University and is full of students, artists, musicians, and other families who have been living here safely for years. We thank you for the alert and will step up our efforts to coordinate with the... More

We really enjoyed our stay at the Garden duplex in the East Village Apartments. The facility is very nice with lots of room. Customer service was excellent. The location was great for walking to Soho, Little Italy, Chinatown and West Village. Highly recommended.

I would highly recommend a stay at East Village Apartments. They are spacious, clean and in a great location. We rented two of the apartments, which was perfect for our group of family & friends. It meant we could all stay in the same building and come and go as we needed. There are lots of nice restaurants and bars... More

Staying in East Village

Neighborhood Profile
East Village
There’s still an independent vibe to the East Village, which offers plenty of unique small businesses catering to longtime New Yorkers and area college students alike. The East Village retains a bit of the old-time neighborhood feel that you can still experience today thanks to a mix of locally-owned shops, cozy restaurants, and lively bars. The scale of the residential blocks makes this a wonderful place to wander up and down the streets searching for the newest hip spot, or an old-school favorite. In the center of the neighborhood, Tompkins Square Park serves as a gathering point for the New Yorkers that call the East Village home. The people-watching here is hard to beat.
