I loved my days at Leo House. Of course, my room was a budget so it was minimal (shower down the hall, etc.) but I loved it. People were extraordinarily friendly. Very clean and pleasant. Highest recommendations from me.

A horrendous service I'm afraid, very shocking for a place that tries to sell itself as "Christian". Not only was setting up my and my family's stay a nightmare (delayed emails, no answer to phone calls, mysterious problems with my credit details) but the accommodation itself is very basic and the staff seem too preoccupied to be courteous. A real... More

Room was next to the hallway shower, so it was as if the shower was private and all ours instead of being shared, which was great. My suitcase was stuck and the staff helped me open it. Good for them! Breakfast was a high point. Eggs, bacon, pancakes, fruit, cereal, juice, coffee, etc.

We have been staying at the Leo House for over 15 years and are never disappointed. The price is always right, the staff courteous and the $9 buffet breakfast outstanding. Subway stations are conveniently located, we love to walk the Highline just down the street, and there are several fine restaurants nearby.

I really enjoy my time in Leo House! But the location was the most important thing for me, because I was really near of all the places that I wanted to visit or go... so, yes! I recommend a lot this beautiful and classic hotel in the heart of Manhattan.

Leo House is in a great location and the linens in rooms are spotless. However reservations staff lack courtesy and efficiency. Due to their mistake they hit my credit card three times for one night's stay and would not respond to email requests for a full refund. My only recourse is to open a dispute with NYC Consumer Complaints. Their... More

I have stayed here several times and always look forward to my next visit. Brings back memories of wonderful summer visits 50+ years ago at my grandmother's house in Brooklyn. It is a safe, clean, friendly, home away from home. Returning guests are recognized and greeted by a gracious staff. Rooms and plumbing are "vintage" but extremely well cared for,... More

I have always wanted to stay there. Was very comfortable. We came in a day early. Great last min price. Wanted us to move rooms when we were staying in same type of room. Wanted to save them some time and linens They finally made it happen Great location friendly and best value in NYC

The longer I stayed, the better Leo House felt to come back to after a day of meetings. We found hospitality at its calmest and gentlest. Greetings for the day at breakfast resulted in charming conversation and a great start of the day. After an absence from NYC of 30plus years, Leo House provided the lath and plaster walls, radiators... More

As always, the staff helping with our stay were very gracious and kind. The rooms reflect a stay similar to a retreat center and very conducive to rest, relaxation and contemplation even in the heart of New York City. Quite amazing.

Staying in Chelsea

Neighborhood Profile
Chelsea
Home to hundreds of art galleries, beautiful brownstones, and one of New York’s newest and most popular attractions, Chelsea is one of the city’s jewels when it comes to neighborhood life. The contemporary art scene is an integral part of the neighborhood’s identity, with gallery openings almost every night of the week and countless exhibits to explore. As a longtime hub of gay culture in New York City, it’s also a diverse district with a vibrant nightlife scene. The opening of the High Line, an abandoned elevated train track transformed into a world-class pedestrian park, gave this neighborhood new life as a tourist destination. The High Line provides visitors with a tranquil, elevated space with incomparable views, providing an unparalleled way to experience the city.
