The Andez is very clean and sleek and suited nicely for a business trip and south tip of Manhattan. good restaurants and services near by. nice decor, the only odd thing is the bathroom design.. we had a suite with a big shower room and a glass door powder room, but no real noise control .. the vanity in the... This is a contemporary, over-priced hotel. The large king rooms are roomy and fashionable--with electric blackout shades, a great shower, a revolving closet-mirror-counter Cabinet near to the bathroom that is very handy (you can turn the cabinet to have, for example, the mirror towards the room, the hallway, or the bath area). There is also a large desk/storage area in... More

We've been living in hotels for 29 straight months for the work we do and this stands out as one of my favorites. The lobby is welcoming, inviting, clean, modern and yet cozy. The front desk staff was incredibly courteous, kind and thoughtful. The rooms are simply massive (by New York City standards). Plenty of space for the extraordinary amount... More

From my late check-in to my early check out the experience with the hotel staff was very good. The room is definitely the largest room I have ever had in a hotel in Manhattan. I normally do not stay downtown but this was where my meeting was held. As far as location relative to the rest of the city, not... More

We took a chance based on reviews and were not disappointed. Great location, close to any subway station we needed. The area is clean and felt safe. The hotel was modern and sleek. Very inviting and "New York." The bed was comfy and the amenities were above-average. The mini bar was free and stocked with drinks and snacks, which were... More

We thought it was generally not very clean and certainly not in a area that we could get to and from very easily.  The décor was an attempt at a Zen atmosphere, and those of us who live in the Southwest know that Zen also means clean.  The lighting was dark, the carpets were filthy and rooms very oddly laid... 1. Prebooked 8 nights for room between $400 and $500 in May; staying here right now! After a problem between booking.com and the hotel, I was locked out of my room during the second afternoon; despite having had assurances that I would have no problem. As soon as I met the manager he swiped my c.card and then gave me... More

Do not book this hotel for more than one night. We booked for eight nights using booking.con for convenience and price for six nights. We wanted to leave after first night due to dreadful service and attitude. "Computer said NO". No refund, no choice, take it or leave it. Supposedly it's in small print on page 24 of the booking.... We visited this beautiful property as part of a weekend celebration of my wife's birthday. It is in a wonderful lower Manhattan location at the corner of Wall and Water Streets at the edge of the financial district. The staff is absolutely outstanding - professional, friendly and super helpful. The hotel offers a complimentary "wine hour" nightly, free coffee in... More

Being located in the financial district the Andaz offers that option of trading up to a nicer hotel at the weekends with the trade off that midtown and its bright lights and attractions are a 30-40 subway ride away. I was here for both business that spilled over into the weekend and some shopping (one footlocker employee got very lucky)... More
