I stayed in room 1A for four days in Dec 2014. It ticked all the boxes for me: comfortable, warm, and spacious room; comfortable bed; quiet at night; free Wi-Fi and TV; walking distance to eating places and food shops. Thank you Blaise for all your help.

We stayed 4 nights with our teenage daughter and had a wonderful time. We received all the information to get there and we were welcomed by Natalie who showed us round and answered to all our questions and made us feel at home. Free wifi and TV in one of the room. Rooms are nice with good beds and we... More

My husband , sister and I stayed at Dupuys Landing for three nights in May. Our daughter lives in Chelsea and we loved being in her neighborhood . The rooms were clean, comfortable and we felt st home. I would highly recommend staying here if you want to feel how it is to be live in a New York neighborhood... More

My husband and I stayed in apartment 4B for the month of May. This apartment was light and airy. The bed was large and very comfortable. There was ample room for us to hang up our clothes. The apartment has two heaters which we did not require and a ceiling fan in the lounge and bedroom which we turned on... More

Dupuy's Landing is an affordable option if you want to stay in brownstone Manhattan. It is, however, a long walk from the nearest subway and there are not many cafe/dining options in the vicinity. The room is large, but our sleep suffered from the noisy street and airconditioning.

My friend and I chose to meet in New York after not seeing each other for 5 years and after searching through hotel listings for hours on end and even reserving one, I randomly came across Dupuy's Landing House on a New York blog. I loved the look and sound of it straight away and fortunately so did my friend... More

I prefair staying here than in a hotel because you feel like you are living in NY and not as a tourist. The host family is very friendly and you feel like a member... More

My husband and I were very fortunate in choosing DuPuy's Guest House for our May visit to NY. The house is on a beautiful, quiet tree lined street but only a few minutes walk from abundant restaurant choices and the subway. We enjoyed the privacy and security of the double door entry and the spaciousness of the room. The bed... More

Thanks much for your kind words and we're glad you enjoyed your stay with us. Thanks especially for properly using the word "discreet" - so many people confuse the spelling with "discrete" - it's truly a pleasure to see the English language used well! More

Staying in Chelsea

Neighborhood Profile
Home to hundreds of art galleries, beautiful brownstones, and one of New York’s newest and most popular attractions, Chelsea is one of the city’s jewels when it comes to neighborhood life. The contemporary art scene is an integral part of the neighborhood’s identity, with gallery openings almost every night of the week and countless exhibits to explore. As a longtime hub of gay culture in New York City, it’s also a diverse district with a vibrant nightlife scene. The opening of the High Line, an abandoned elevated train track transformed into a world-class pedestrian park, gave this neighborhood new life as a tourist destination. The High Line provides visitors with a tranquil, elevated space with incomparable views, providing an unparalleled way to experience the city.
