Pros: The location - it's just a few blocks away from Empire State building. For this price, it's as central as it's gets. The style of the room - all in white, black and red. The room was small (welcome to NY) but very well arranged, so it didn't feel like the walls were coming down on you. Cons: Staff... More

Very good location and clean throughout with nice amenities. Convenient location with subway just a block away. Rooms were just a bit on the small side but this is very typical of NY. Highly recommended.

We travelled with a little one and had booked the standard room. When we checked in, the concierge had actually upgraded us so to give us more room with a stroller. The hotel is located in the heart of Midtown and the subway station was just around the corner. There are proper restaurants and fast food nearby and also a... More

When we arrived at 2pm our rooms weren't ready. They couldn't locate our booking. We had to go away and come back an hour later! Rooms are very noisy with traffic and the air con unit. Take ear plugs with you if you are a light sleeper. Breakfast was a bit of a fiasco. The hotel gave you a voucher... More

We booked into this hotel on the East side of town. They did have valet service and they did man the front desk. But that's about where the service ended.... No bellman/doorman, no carts. If you come with lots of "stuff" as we did for this trip, you're on your own to get it upstairs on one working elevator. They... More

For just a day or so it was a perfect stay! Nice bed, bathroom, and TV channel selection. Very cozy room and convenient location. Tons of restaurants and a park in walking distance. Parking is expensive, but that's New York. Highly recommend!

Tiny room, we could only just open the bathroom door. It could use a little renovation in the reception area but it had the most comfortable bed for a good nights sleep which was the main thing in my opinion.

The room is small but thats what you come to expect in NYC. The design and layout of the room is terrible, the shower is awful - no pressure and the water o from the shower head only trickles out. It was inexpensive by NYC standards but you can do netter. I got a skeevy feeling when I walked into... More

Just spent 3 nights at the Mave. Looks good in the pictures however is not nearly as nice. This would be a 3 start at best. With a bit of paint and clean up, it could be a nice place. No wifii, unless you pay $9.99 per day.

We visited NY for twelve days. Out stay at the Mave was excellent, location it's great, close to Madison Square. The hotel it's small and we enjoyed the attention of the staff. Rooms were modern and super clean! With comfortable beds. I was worried about the size of the room because of other reviews, but for NYC the room size... More
