My husband and I were in NY for the first time for a wedding and after having read reviews on this hotel we decided to give it a try. It was a very nice 5 night stay. We booked a king room with view . If a view is a huge concern you may not get what you are looking... More

I travel for work and I stay in hotels often. That being said, I haven't stayed in New York before. I decided to stay at the Staybridge Suites. It's about two blocks down (40th) and two blocks over (almost 9th) from the heart of Times Square - not bad at all. I booked online (with points). When I called the... More

We had a week at the Staybridge Suites. I travelled with my husband and sister and we stayed in a triple share room. The room itself was small but housed the essentials. The room had 2 double beds, aircon, TV, mini kitchen with all essentials. Mostly we were thankful for the full size fridge. The bathroom was of adequate size... More

The downside is the small dining room / lounge area for breakfast. You can eat in the lounge area but the tables are coffee tables so you have to bend down to eat. But they provide plastic take-away containers and paper coffee cups so you can take your breakfast back to your room or eat on the run if you... More

We stayed at the Staybridge for 6 nights in September and it was just perfect for our 1st time in NYC. The location is just up from the subway entrance and we were able to easily see all the sites by subway and walking. Times Sq is about 5-10 min walk. Happy hour 3 evenings a week is like 1... More

The hotel is well located, a block away from Times Square itself - as some other reviews had commented, it was in the same street as the parole office, but we did not find this a problem - when you are out most of the day anyway and the office is closed in the evening, there is no one around... My family and I arrived at 8:00 am, and got the room and a breakfast!! What a friendly and helpfull staff! Very good location (near timesquare). The breakfast is a small buffet which is enough. The kitchen is well suited but there was place for only one to eat. The room was clean. We surely will return to this hotel... More

Cannot fault this hotel at all. From the moment of arrival to departure any member of staff we came into contact with were polite, helpful and cheery and only too pleased to help with anything. Room was lovely, spotless and much roomier than I imagined it to be. The little kitchenette is so useful and air conditioning worked really well.... More

Great, comfortable, designed rooms with fantastic bedding, pillows. Nice location surrounded by a few other quality hotels and only a few minutes from Time Square though one should be aware if walking alone in the late evenings. Just great value!

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
