We were excited to take our family on our first summer trip to NYC! Was even more excited to stay at the W! That is until we checked in. Apparently kids aren't the right cliental for this location. I get it, they want to be "cool", however, don't disrespect families in the process. We checked in early in the day... More

As a parent traveling with 2 18 yr olds, this was a fun hotel. It has a cool lobby with a bar, music, a free photobooth machine... Rooms are modern, with comfortable bedding. The hotel is in a quiet section of the financial district. It is blocks from 9/11 Memorial, Trinity Church, Wall Street, Battery Park, Brooklyn Bridge & the... More

Decent high end Starwood property very conveniently located near most of the Downtown Financial firms. I was walking distance to the firm I was visiting. The rooms are a bit small but nicely furnished with interesting art and nice amenities. The staff at check in and check out went out of their way to make me feel appreciated. The concierge... More

I loved everything about this hotel from location to courteous their staff that contacted me before my arrival to make sure they could meet my needs. The lounge was closed due to a private NBA draft event but BLT bar and grill was delightful and open late enough for me to grab a bite. The rooms with views to the... More

Had three rooms and stayed here for 10 days. Paid nearly $500 per night. So nearly $15,000. My main complaint is that I then had to pay for the Internet in each of the rooms and the price is outrageous and the service did not handle Skype calls very well. The resteraunt on the ground floor is OK but again... More

Oh man, just stepping off of the elevator on the 5th floor lobby was a heavy taste of eye candy. The floor was immaculate black marble that reflected the incredible ceiling perfectly making you feel like you were walking on an uneven pace. The room was small but packed with everything one would need. The view from many rooms was... More

The W hotel is centrally located in downtown NYC, adjacent to the World Trade Center memorial pools and the new tower. It is a vibrant and busy area during the week, but gets calmer during the weekend when the financial area gets deserted. The lobby is located on the 5th floor, so guests must use two elevators to get from... More

I am not used to staying in boutique hotels, so the W was a treat for me. The photos of the lobby you'll find online don't lie. You get to walk through this striped wonderland every time you go to your room, since there are two sets of elevators required for each ride up! (This is not as inconvenient as... More
