One of the best located hotels, with great service. The W design is strong in general areas but slightly dated in standard rooms, that are quite small. The W minibar does not loose its attraction. All extras very expensive, $18 for a glass of average house chardonnay is really the limit!

My stay here was great. I upgraded the room to a higher floor, more space and a beautiful view of the 911 memorial park. Well worth doing. The room was large by NY standards and very well laid out. The bench seat by the window was a relaxing place to sit. The bars are expensive (expected in NYC!) but the... More

I stayed for a night for business reasons. The front desk staff was not very welcoming or friendly. The room was on the west end of the hotel and oddly shaped because of the building shape, with a smallish bedroom and large bath. The hotel is trendy, but I agree that the rooms need better light and more counter space.... More

Great place to stay in the city and financial hub of the world . If your company is paying for the room then staying here is a no brainier as you can walk to your meetings and offices and then come back for a happy hour in the lobby bar. Free coffee for the morning and wifi is free in... More

Location: Great location if you want to be Downtown Atmosphere: Super clean, new and well laid out in every aspect from rooms to restaurant to lobby. Very beautiful. Customer service: Great. Everyone welcomes you and asks how they can help. Price: Over priced for the location. One night stay will run you well over $400. It's just not worth it.... More

This hotel was very modern in design, with style potentially exceeding practical substance in the room design (we needed more surfaces, trashcans, and power outlets). Our double room was immaculately clean, relatively spacious for NYC, and very quiet even though directly across from the elevators. The room had a stunning view of the 9/11 memorial park that really gave us... More

The W downtown is an exceptional location if you need a hotel in lower manhattan/financial/wall street and want to be close to world trade. And by close, ask for a room facing the freedom tower & memorial (it's across the street). The W downtown is a typically trendy as all W hotels. The bar is a scene, the restaurants are... More

My husband is a platinum Starwood member and frequently uses this W for stays when he meets at the financial center. It's a matter of convenience but he chooses this over the Marriott and other brand name hotels in the area so that's saying something positive. We are both former New Yorkers and I used to work on Nassau Street... More

I was looking forward to staying here - I love W hotels for some reason. This did not disappoint. We checked in early and were assigned room 1105 facing World Trade Memorial and Freedom Tower, when we got back to the hotel later in the day we asked if there was a room on a higher floor with the same... We took a train from New Haven and stayed overnight at the W Hotel downtown Manhattan. We planned on seeing the Ground Zero Museum and Eliis Island and the Statue of Liberty, all were right there within walking distance, especially ground zero. The hotel was fun, modern and youthful. It catered to families and the younger crowd. The decor was... More
