Staff was fantastic. Katherine Woods @ the Welcome desk was super helpful getting me checked in and taking care of my special needs. The Bar Manager and cocktail server working on 8.21 in the evening were awesome as well! Beautiful space and excellent service!

I'm not a huge W fan -- I just prefer a lobby that's doesn't double as a techno music bar -- but this is a very good hotel. It is in an old building a block from the WTC site, and it is either new or newly renovated. My room was very small, but really comfortable and the space was... More

Stopped in this week for a drink at the Living Room Bar. I cannot say enough how much I enjoyed Tony's hospitality. He was such a pleasure to talk to and gave some excellent recommendations on nightlife attractions. He should be recognized for his amazing service!

Stayed at hotel for two nights. Great hotel with amazing views of the freedom tower. W hotel at its best. Great staff friendly and helpful. Great location for exploring downtown Manhattan and short subway trip to other great sights. Great rooms with comfortable beds. Highly recommended.

I was a recent guest at the W New York Downtown. I’m a fairly regular visitor to that part of town—I have a close friend in Battery Park City and a nearby hotel is the best guest room ever. I usually stay at the Marriott, right across the street from the W. On this trip I thought I’d try something... More

Nice hotel with the expected level of additions. Very central to downtown & main finance districts. My room view looked across a building site - which would not be the best, but seeing that it is a world trade centre, I guess it can be seen as an attraction in itself

We booked two rooms in June for ourselves and family to experience downtown NYC and see how transformed the area has become! Although it was a little difficult to find the entrance to the hotel, once we figured out which way to go we really enjoyed our stay! The view was tremendous and we had a spot on view of... More

Stayed 2 nights July 31 & Aug. 1. Strange that check-in was on the 5th floor, but I had reviewed previous, so I knew this upon arrival, so it wasn't a big deal! Very trendy, modern feel in the lobby, which had an outside balcony/bar with a view of One World Trade Center/911 memorial!! We stayed on the 21 floor,... More

I was so impressed with the look of the hotel. The lobby was super chic and loved the view from the rooftop bar! The room was surprisingly more spacious than I expected which was a huge plus! felt so at home because of the comfortable beds. THE VIEW FROM THE ROOM WAS AH-MAZING! thanks to the huge window with a... More
