A very friendly representative greeted me when I arrived after a delayed flight. The lobby had a trendy modern feel and there were still dinner options available upon my late arrival (for which I was grateful). The room was large and clean with a very nice marble bathroom and large shower. Bathrobes were supplied, which I like. The 20th floor... More

Location location location. This hotel has a great location in the heart of midtown. The only drawback are the homeless people who are everywhere in the city but closer to the touristy areas and cannot be avoided. Of course this has nothing to do with the hotel. The staff is super friendly and accommodating and the food was delicious. Overall... More

very impressed, the staff was as you expect. Unbelievably helpful, reservations for restaurants, clubs and baseball games. Very good room for those that want to be central and well priced. Being smack bang in the middle of New York just made the trip

From the moment we arrived at The Eventi we were treated brilliantly. As it was my 50th birthday a bottle of Champagne and cup cakes were waiting in our room, which is a lovely touch, and made it just a bit more special. Somehow staff seemed to know it was my birthday as at breakfast I was treated to a... More

first class service, amazing staff, views are great :) I highly recommend for 1 night stay to multiple nights. The location is super centralized and even has some great restaurants right in the front door! Also if you forget a charger or hair iron, they got you covered!

I want to thank the superb staff at the Eventi hotel for the extra special birthday weekend! The champagne and cupcakes sent up to the room were a treat and all the staff made sure my husband and I felt like VIP’s for the weekend. The room itself was stylish, comfortable, and clean. The location is excellent as well, walking... More

The location is very convenient to anything in Midtown. When we arrived and checked-in, the front desk associate wasn't rude, but he also didn't seem interested in being there. I gave him my ID/Credit card, he mumbled a few things, and I got the room key, I had to ask where the elevator was since it was dark (but the lobby... More

Just home from 6 nights here with my other half for our anniversary. The view from our room was spectacular! Ceiling to floor windows with panoramic view of the city is very hard to find in New York. The staff at the reception are so helpful and friendly and every day we came back to the hotel tired to a... More

Friendly Kimpton welcome, super clean room with the comfy beds, if a bit smaller but it's New York ! Great sized bathroom with all amenities but it's the view from the floor to ceiling windows from your bed that is the hit. Get a higher up room on the Empire State side !! And remember to get your Kimpton cocoa... More

I travel at least once a month to NYC and I have to say that without any doubt this is my favorite hotel in the whole city. I tried over 15 hotels at least and I always come back to this one. What makes this for me the best hotel in NYC? First and foremost it's so centrally located you... More

Staying in Chelsea

Neighborhood Profile
Chelsea
Home to hundreds of art galleries, beautiful brownstones, and one of New York’s newest and most popular attractions, Chelsea is one of the city’s jewels when it comes to neighborhood life. The contemporary art scene is an integral part of the neighborhood’s identity, with gallery openings almost every night of the week and countless exhibits to explore. As a longtime hub of gay culture in New York City, it’s also a diverse district with a vibrant nightlife scene. The opening of the High Line, an abandoned elevated train track transformed into a world-class pedestrian park, gave this neighborhood new life as a tourist destination. The High Line provides visitors with a tranquil, elevated space with incomparable views, providing an unparalleled way to experience the city.
