Eventi is well managed hotel in my opinion. Contrary to other Kimpton Hotel they don't let young people do parties in the rooms. Offer a friendly service. Eventi is not in a fantastic area, but very close to Penn Station, thus you don't need a taxi( and in N.Y. could be a real problem as happened to me very recently)... More

Just got back from a 4 night stay at the Eventi over Memorial Day weekend. This was my first time staying at a Kimpton hotel. I was more than impressed and the Eventi definitely lived up to the Kimpton name. We had a king size room booked with a pre-requested crib for my 1.5 year old. When we got there... More

Pretty solid hotel and def good bang for your buck. Considering the area the price per night was very affordable. Was there for 8 days and there was plenty of good local bars and food options. Wont be my first choice in New York but def a second or 3rd option if needed.

The Eventi had spacious rooms, "Kimpton" style service and staff, and a direct view of the Empire State Building from our room on the 8th floor. Being an avid traveler and a frequent Kimpton patron I would have gladly given this hotel 5 stars although the renovations placed a mask over the usual fastidious decor of this Kimpton Hotel. The... The eventi is located about 3 easy blocks from Penn station. It is also an easy walk to the highline, chelsea and the meatpacking district. The Vine bar is cozy and serves good food. This very sleek hotel has a nice large lobby with comfy couches. We received a very friendly and personal welcome on both of our recent stays.... More

I'm a Kimpton fanatic, so when I give one of their hotels less than 5 stars, pay attention! The good things about this hotel include its location, which is close to everything most visitors to NY want to see, its sleek design, and the friendliness of its staff. I had a decent experience during my stay, but as an Inner... More

Well, what can I say? Our first ever trip to the USA started in Seattle and we stayed at a Kimpton there and loved it. This was our second visit to the Eventi, perfectly situated in the heart of Manhattan. What makes a great hotel is a combination of things including good product and good people and the Eventi has... We were there for a wedding. Very good location, clean hotele, very nice personnel. Obviously undergoing some renovations on the first floor. Had a bar menu meal which was excellent. Drinks and food were fabulous. The wedding was brilliantly planned and catered by the hotel.

We booked a suite and invited friends to watch the Derby with us. The hotel worked with us on providing a full bar, wonderful meat, cheese, fruit trays. The bartender and server were excellent and the suite was amazing.

I have stayed at the Eventi in NYC several times. I just visited again and loved the new restaurant and it's casual-chic atmosphere. Big Win! I had the potato pizza and a caprese salad and I think I could have licked my plate it was that good. Kimpton's are perfect for me as a single woman traveling for work. The... More

Staying in Chelsea

Neighborhood Profile
Chelsea
Home to hundreds of art galleries, beautiful brownstones, and one of New York’s newest and most popular attractions, Chelsea is one of the city’s jewels when it comes to neighborhood life. The contemporary art scene is an integral part of the neighborhood’s identity, with gallery openings almost every night of the week and countless exhibits to explore. As a longtime hub of gay culture in New York City, it’s also a diverse district with a vibrant nightlife scene. The opening of the High Line, an abandoned elevated train track transformed into a world-class pedestrian park, gave this neighborhood new life as a tourist destination. The High Line provides visitors with a tranquil, elevated space with incomparable views, providing an unparalleled way to experience the city.
