Spent 1 night with family here and was very impressed with staff and the 2 rooms which had been upgraded to suites for us. Thought we would hear noise from the NY streets below but all was quiet in our back room location. Room was very clean and the bathroom was classy with lots of mood lighting. Will definitely stay... We spent three nights at the French Quarters for a mother and daughter week-end in New York, and were very pleased with our accommodation. We shared a twin room which was tastefully furnished, with very comfortable beds and a well appointed bathroom. We both enjoyed undisturbed sleep followed by a continental breakfast which set us up nicely for exploring the... More

We stayed for 6 nights on our first visit to NYC and loved it. The building has a great vibe, and the staff were great. We got an upgrade on arrival and stayed in one of the front rooms, 2nd floor, front of the building. I didn't notice much traffic noise at all and the view up the street was... More

Amazing, beautiful & gorgeous old style building. True walking distance to everything. Wonderful, gracious staff & a delicious breakfast. We were upgraded when we arrived early & jet lagged & then again to a suite when the heating failed. Loved this place, despite the bitter Winter.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel for my 30th birthday. We stayed in the main building (originally were given a room in the building next door which I didn't like, the window was to the street so we had little privacy). We were given another room by a friendly and helpful member of staff. Breakfast was lovely, bagels,... More

Took my mother to Manhattan for her 60th birthday this week. I've previously stayed in many different hotels in NYC but this was truly the best! Upon arrival they upgraded us for free to a 2 bedroom 2 bathroom suite with a huge terrace! The location and staff are top notch. Even the owner knew it was my mothers birthday.... More

what a perfect place this is! Staff are both gracious AND efficient, location could not be better. Rooms are spotless and charming -- reminded us of our Latin Quarter hotel but this was larger. The included breakfast was generous and made the price of the room an even better value. No reason for us to stay anywhere else. A tip:... More

I have stayed at the French Quarters Guest Apartments twice now, and they have become a staple of my travels to Manhattan. A few reasons why.... Location, location, location. Can't be beat. Staff that knew me by name - Can't be beat. Staff that proactively contacted me after I left because they found something I forgot in my room (and... More

Staying at the French Quarters continues to be a fantastic experience! My family and I choose to stay at this boutique hotel over the Christmas holidays and will stay there again with my extended family at the end of March. When it became known that a relative was celebrating a milestone birthday, we immediately thought to stay here. It is... More

We stayed at The French Quarters for our first venture to NYC. Our five night stay was upgraded to a king room (something to do with our recent nuptials in Las Vegas). Fabulous location -- so close to everything. Continental breakfast included (thanks Kevin). Ask for one of the bay windows -- it's so nice to look out toward Times... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
