My partner and I travelled back through New York after staying with friends in America. I wanted somewhere a little different as I have a dislike for large bland hotels. We were celebrating my partners 50th, I mailed the hotel beforehand to ask if we could have something bubbly in the room on our arrival, to my surprise, when we... More

The French Qrts. is a lovely independent hotel in the heart of Manhattan, clean, with a friendly and professional staff & with a premium location. Not to mention wifi and breakfast included which is not common for New York. We stayed here both May 2014 and 2015 for our son's graduations and commissioning. They went way beyond trying to accommodate... More

I surprised my husband for our 15th Anniversary and we both loved it! It's in prefect location and the card awaiting us,the daily paper with a forecast of the weather and things to do were perfect since we weren't from NY. The GM and the staff were very helpful and friendly! I would recommend this apartment to anyone wanting to... More

My husband and I stayed here for 2 nights in May, during a 5 night trip to NYC. I had read the reviews and had high expectations - I can easily say that all of these were met and exceeded. We checked in early in the morning and our bags were dealt with while we got on with exploring the... More

Stayed here for 3 nights in March as a birthday present and have to say the hotel lived up to the reputation on Trip Advisor. The hotel itself is just two blocks away from Times Square and is on a lovely street with plenty of eatery options (I suggest Bistecca Fiorentina for a steak) and a lively bar scene, particularly... All of the staff were helpful when I checked in on April 12th. Bathroom was large with nice clean tiles and they supplied the Le Occitane products. Kuerig coffee maker, real creamers in the fridge along with a bottle of water. Complimentary newspaper and flyer of what was going on in the city was a great gesture. The breakfast was... More

Best with this hotel are the location. You gave walking distance to many of NY attractions. A lot if restaurants are also located around the hotel. Rooms are not big but they are clean. Staff are friendly are very helpful. Their breakfast are ok but i miss some warm food as i am used to that.

I came to New York this past week on a business trip and stayed here at the recommendation of a friend after knowing I would need to be in Midtown West for the majority of my trip. The lobby is quite small, but the room was very comfortable and very clean. The hotel is off the beaten path making for... More

Not many options in this area. This hotel has a small lobby, just a reception desk at the end of a corridor. However, the bedrooms are well-equipped and spacious. The bathroom was well-updated with a good-sized walk-in shower. The bedroom, a little noisy at night overlooking 46th street, but also well-equipped plus a kitchenette. My total bill with taxes around... More

My wife and I stayed at The French Quarter this past weekend. We both found the hotel accommodations excellent. The rooms are very clean and spacious and very well decorated and comfortable. It almost felt like I was staying in a high end bed and breakfast in the middle of Times Square. The location of the hotel is perfect.. It... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
