Having visited NYC several times, I decided to give this hotel a try several weeks ago. If you're into the cheesy tourist trap that is times sq then maybe this hotel is for you. This isn't a true NYC experience, however. The whole experience was just annoying - not sure what I was thinking when I stayed here.

There is nothing bad about this hotel at all. The staff are lovely - the complimentary breakfast is continental all you can eat and was great. The bar and eatery under the hotel had amazing deals drinks and good food. The hotel is on a quiet street ,(actually the restaurant row of NY) but you don't hear any noise despite... More

This fabulous boutique hotel is a hidden gem! Centrally located (Times Sq, The Rockefeller Plaza, Central Park, Penn Station...), easy walking distance to everything. Tons of restaurants and cafes, and stores around. My husband and I booked a standard room but upon arrival Niall at the front desk (I'm sorry if I misspelled your name!) surprised us with an upgrade. Rooms... More

myself and my husband stayed in early march and we couldn't praise this hotel enough. this quaint hotel with its near georgian decor was fab and its central location on 46st just off time square made it ideal. however, it was the high level of service that made this hotel stand out. every morn the daily newspaper was delivered to... This is a great hotel. Stayed here for a week- we had a double room on the second floor. Very comfortable- great bed! There was some street noise in the evenings but to be honest, I wore earplugs and my husband didn't notice it at all. Very friendly staff- particularly the breakfast guys. We thought the daily info sheet under... More

We only got to stay one night here (and were pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a two-room/two-bath suite) but would love to come back for a longer stay in the future! Location - close to subway, Times Square, theater district, on "restaurant row" Accommodations - everything you could ask for and more; amazing free continental breakfast in a beautiful... More

Spent 1 night with family here and was very impressed with staff and the 2 rooms which had been upgraded to suites for us. Thought we would hear noise from the NY streets below but all was quiet in our back room location. Room was very clean and the bathroom was classy with lots of mood lighting. Will definitely stay... We spent three nights at the French Quarters for a mother and daughter week-end in New York, and were very pleased with our accommodation. We shared a twin room which was tastefully furnished, with very comfortable beds and a well appointed bathroom. We both enjoyed undisturbed sleep followed by a continental breakfast which set us up nicely for exploring the... More

We stayed for 6 nights on our first visit to NYC and loved it. The building has a great vibe, and the staff were great. We got an upgrade on arrival and stayed in one of the front rooms, 2nd floor, front of the building. I didn't notice much traffic noise at all and the view up the street was... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
