Excellent location. Room was very big, and well equipped. Nice coffee machine. Bathroom was very good and modernly designed. Can be noisy from the street or the nearby restaurant at night. Breakfast was OK, good selection of cereals and fruit.

Stayed here on a 4 day trip to New york. The French Quarters is impeccably clean, has great design, full refrigerator, kitchenette coffe maker. Comfortable beds, attentive staff. Continental breakfast with many options and friendly service. The neighborhood is convenient to theaters, times sqare and numerous restaurants. We will be back!

We stayed here for 2 nights from 10/11/14. Excellent location near Times Square. The room was lovely with hob, fridge and coffee maker. The staff very helpful and friendly. A daily planner of events delivered to your room daily. Loved the French decor. Would definitely stay again

We recently visited the big apple for 4 days and found the French Quarters to have an extremely good location (in restaurant Row and only 5 minutes walk from Times Square). Rooms are adequately sized (considering location), very clean and very well kept. Bed was very comfortable. Since my wife was celebrating her birthday, hotel manager ensured we had a... More

Wasn't quite sure what to expect as online photos made the place look old but the reviews were good. And the reviews were right this is a small boutique hotel and it's made to look old without being old. Front desk employees were ok, the cleaners and breakfast employes were fantastic. Lucky we got upgraded from king room to 2... More

Be prepared for the tiny "lobby" and you will be fine - very much like Paris Hotels. The room decor was perfect! Even my standard room had a well-equipped kitchenette including cook-top and microwave. The Keurig coffeemaker came with a cupboard full of coffee and tea varieties with real cream in the fridge! Everything about the room and bathroom showed... More

The French Quarters is unlike any other place I've stayed in NYC. It's right in the heart of it all in midtown, but when you get off the busy street it's like a home away from home! I've stayed twice, and both times my expectations were exceeded. The rooms are well appointed and sophisticated, but it still has a cozy... More

This is a perfect small hotel to use if you are in New York to go to theater as it is in the theater district. The block it's on is full of restaurants and clubs, and theaters are within two or three blocks. My room was above the bar next door, so it could have been noisy, which is why... More

We stayed here as part of a group travelling to NYC for the marathon. The hotel is great - the rooms a good size for the area, the staff are amazingly friendly and the location is great - loads of attractions within walking distance and easy distance to a subway. The only negatives would be the breakfast is a bit... More

My family of 5 adults stays here for a week in October and it was fantastic. Probs the cleanest rooms I have ever stayed in. Well done guys. We stayed on the 5th floor in a two bed apartment, with our own balcony overlooking W46th street a real bonus after a long day to sit out and get some fresh... More

Staying in Hell's Kitchen (Located within Midtown)

Neighborhood Profile
Hell's Kitchen
Just a few strides from the pulsing beat of Times Square, Hell’s Kitchen has a much more local pulse than its buzzing neighbor. The low-key vibe is part of the appeal, but there’s also a new energy arriving in the neighborhood in the form of modern residential buildings with new retail and food shops. Ninth Avenue is lined with restaurants of all types, from tiny Thai hangouts and Italian trattorias to French bistros and Southern cuisine. Just show up hungry and walk up and down the street, you are bound to find something that looks good. For a more classic taste of the city, grab a bite to eat along Restaurant Row (46th Street between 8th and 9th Avenues) before a Broadway show. The Hudson River provides a break from the city blocks with riverside views, piers for boat tours, and parks perfect for a stroll.
