Forget all the bad stories your mom told you about Harlem and come explore this fantastic area that has so much to offer that you won't find anywhere else in NYC. While you do that, Harlem's In, located in a beautiful brownstone in the historic Mount Morris area, is a great place to stay as it is quiet (you have your own private back yard!), roomy and cozy and has everyhing you need, including washer/dryer and a full kitchen and bath.

It's very conveniently located, only a 5 minute walk to the subway (2,3) that runs express downtown, so that you can be at Times Square in less than 20 minutes. It's 10 blocks from Central Park and right next to Mount Morris Park. The area have many great little cafes and ethnic restaurants, all very reasonably priced. Supermarkets are within walking distance, as are farmer's markets and all kinds of other shops.
