Great location with adequate, clean rooms. Large student group meant slow elevators. The Satellite Room wasn't my scene and the bouncer guys were sort of weird about letting me up there. Free breakfast was fine. Id stay there again.

We would like to thank you for your comments. Was disappointed to learn, however, about your breakfast experience. We are never able to start clearing up breakfast until well after 9:30 a.am due to the continued demand after that hour, but thank you for pointing this out. We try to put our Platinum guests on the highest floors possible. More

Staff was great and very friendly. We were checked in by a young lady I believe her name was Katherine (it started with a K, sorry!) and she was great!! The complimentary breakfast was good and had a great selection. We decided to take food up to our room, but if you wanted to sit at a table you had... More

I would like to personally thank you for posting your comments. I have actually already spoken to our housekeeping staff about the towels and the lights being left on in the room. You are absolutely right and there was no reason for them to have changed the towels nor should they have left the lights on. Will share your comments... More

I am a Lifetime Gold Marriott Rewards member - so, Ive been to a few Marriotts. I personally like the clean rooms and the staff at this Marriott. The Front Desk are incredibly friendly and the lounge bartender is very accommodating. Overall, the staff makes this a very welcoming place - The GM, Ron runs a tight ship - it... More

Thank you so much for your kind comments. I have actually asked my staff to reinstate the card game that we play with the guests at check in to get the added points. Hope to see you in the very near future. More

We stayed at this hotel over March break. Typical Marriott with very clean room, and excellent service from all members of staff. Location was good for closeness to all the major attractions enabling us to walk to all the "big landmarks" We parked our car at a hotel in New Jersey and got that hotels shuttle to time square. A... My husband, grand daughter and I stayed one night (March 19th) after seeing Aladdin at the New Amsterdam Theater. We took the train from DC to Penn Station and walked to the hotel. We arrived just before noon and they didn't have a room ready for us so we left our bags and went sight seeing. We returned about 3:30,... More

This was my first visit to New York and i was looking for an affordable option close to Times Square that was not cramped. Fairfield fit the bill in all respects (Took the base Guest Room) + Good rooms (small but not as small as some other NY Times Square budget hotels) + Almost 10 steps away from the metro... More

Your comments are much appreciated. We are in the process of adding more seats in the breakfast areas by restructuring the area. This will take away most of the long lines of guests waiting for a table. Yes, the elevators can be a little slow during rush hours and we would like to apologize for that. More

Excellent location, access to subway is short walk (42 port authority but station is just in front of the hotel), close to times square and broadway, excellent breakfast buffet, Starbucks coffee available all the time for free, the room was clean, comfort. Bathroom was also clean, staff was so helpful and friendly, it was exceeded my expectation to NYC hotels,... More

Pros: Perfect location, 10 min walk to Empire State/Times Square Cons: Tiny rooms and bathroom The only con is the space, it was really small for the price but I guess that is expected considering this hotel is really walk friendly to all the top attractions. Service was really good and friendly.

Very good Service and it s only only 5 min walk to Times Square. I arrived in the morning and i could only check in after 15:00 but that was not a problem because they kept My suitcase for free. I stayed in the 23rd floor and i was overwhealmed with the space of the room, they are bigger than the... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
