We decided to stay here the first week of March 2015 based on good TA reviews, the hotel's proximity to a subway station (block and a half away), and a very attractive room rate for a Manhattan hotel. We arrived a few hours before the 4PM check-in and were pleasantly surprised that a room was ready for us. The room... More

We have stayed at this hotel twice now and will return thanks to the clean and comfortable rooms, free breakfast, kind and accomodating staff, good location between Soho and Lower East Side, closeness to useful subway lines, the exotic atmosphere of living in Chinatown (so completely different from home!), and good value for money!

It's located in China Town, a very interesting neightbourhood. It has the D and B Subway just 1 1/2 block away. The service was great, everyone was very nice. It's very clean. It has big rooms with big bathrooms for a hotel room. The price was very good and includes free wi-fi in rooms and looby and a simple but... More

Good value for money. The room was nice, small but clean. We could hear the TV from the room next to us, and that was annoying at some point. We didn't like the breakfast at all. It was a really small space and it was VERY crowded. We had to wait to be seated. The food was average.

Stayed here for the Chinese new year, only a block away from Canal Street, nice room and accommodations, good breakfast, and friendly staff, beautiful view of bridge and water, I would recommend staying at this hotel.

I chose this hotel for the price and location combined-- it's very close to a few different subway lines, and it's easy to get pretty much anywhere, including Brooklyn, which was just what we wanted. And Chinatown is such a fun neighborhood! The room was very comfortable and clean. The wifi was great-- my husband and I both had to... More

My husband stayed at this hotel in November 2014. The location is on the outskirts of Chinatown, which at first looks a bit sketchy, but after a few late night walks alone, it actually felt pretty safe. The subway was a few blocks away, 5 min walk at most. The subway ride was about 15 minutes to Times Square/Rockefeller Center.... More

Stayed there on the weekend after new year. The price was relatively reasonable comparing to other NYC hotels and free breakfast is included. Subway station within walk distance, good for travellers without a car. Parking was around $40/night. The neighbourhood seems a bit unsafe at night but maybe thats just a NYC thing.

This hotel was a great value and exceeded my expectations. The staff was very nice and accommodating. The rooms and amenities were very clean and modern. The room was small, but how much time are you spending in your room in NYC? I asked for a room with a view and we got a room on the 11th floor and... More

We enjoyed our stay in the hotel though the rooms are not that special and the breakfast is quite modest. The location was really handy if you enjoy being around Bowery and Soho. The locals were a little bit surprised that we stay in Chinatown, I don't know why but the charms of the Chinatown was pretty exotic too. For... More

Staying in Chinatown

Neighborhood Profile
Chinatown
Bursting with an amazing array of sights, sounds, and smells on every block, a visit to Chinatown feels like entering a different world. It’s a colorful spectacle that gets even more crowded on weekends, when families stream in to enjoy huge dim sum feasts and to stock up at the markets on Mott Street. To take a break from the buzz, grab something sweet from one of the many bakeries in the area and head to Columbus Park, where many Chinatown residents exercise, play games, and chat the day away.
