Before I found the Hotel Mulberry I stayed at the Comfort Inn Manhattan Bridge. I used to live in the Lower East Side and I've walked around this area a lot and enjoy it's unpretentious side of NYC. The hotel does the job fairly well. It's not fancy but then again it's not expensive either. It is loud as others... More

The room was clean, with a spacious and clean bathroom. Breakfast is in a small area downstairs, it is more practical to take your breakfast to your room. Bummer was that my room was separated by a thin door to the next room. First I had a loud Italian family next to me, later an older couple who were pretty... More

The Comfort Inn Manhattan Bridge is a great option in Chinatown. As a woman alone, I felt safe. My room was large, clean and relatively quiet. Outside is the hustle and bustle of Chinatown with interesting sights and great food. It was so convenient that I was able to walk to the Empire State Building, museums and even my brother's... We booked this Comfort Inn on our return trip to NYC for another 2 nights was our best choice, from start to finish, the services were great, front desk was very helpful, on telling us where to go eat, shop and etc.... breakfast crews were fast servicing. Room cleaning staffs had done a good job. Rooms were clean, beds are... More

Rooms are small, clean and comfortable. Mine had a nice view of the skyline but some overlook parking lots. A very nice Continental Breakfast is included with stay. The staff is very friendly and helpful.

We booked this hotel as part of our honeymoon trip. It was our first visit to NYC and we wanted somewhere that was going to be within budget and enable us to move freely around Manhattan so we could do all the sightseeing, touristy stuff. From reading the reviews on TripAdvisor we decided this hotel would fit our needs and... More

We booked a corner suite on an upper floor and loved everything about our stay. Room: Very clean and kept up well. Good size room and comfy bed. Can see the Manhattan Bridge. Nice sized ledge on the window where I sat and sipped my coffee in the morning, watching the people exercising Tai Chi in the park across the... More

Decent hotel, BAD location, parking garage recommended by hotel, DO NOT USE! Parking garage attendees are untruthful and will charge you more than what they tell you up front. Get EVERYTHING in writing but would recommend NOT staying anywhere in Chinatown.

My sincere apologies that you did not enjoy our location. It is certainly not perfect for everyone. It is a great way to experience the historical neighborhoods of NYC. If you can email me more details about the garage I can follow up with them. We have had a great relationship with them and we do not want our guests... More

We stayed here 3 nights and were very happy with the hotel. The location is fantastic. Next to two separate subway stops (Grand and Bowery) and near a few others a 10+ min walk away. In Chinatown right next to the The staff were very courteous and helpful, especially since we were traveling with our 12 week old son. The... More

Staying in Chinatown

Neighborhood Profile
Chinatown
Bursting with an amazing array of sights, sounds, and smells on every block, a visit to Chinatown feels like entering a different world. It’s a colorful spectacle that gets even more crowded on weekends, when families stream in to enjoy huge dim sum feasts and to stock up at the markets on Mott Street. To take a break from the buzz, grab something sweet from one of the many bakeries in the area and head to Columbus Park, where many Chinatown residents exercise, play games, and chat the day away.
