I stayed at the Comfort Inn Manhattan Bridge for five nights in May for a wedding. The hotel was well situated for us (near the wedding site) but also well placed for general site-seeing on the Lower Manhattan. For foodies, it is right in China Town (Old China Town) and and a few blocks from Little Italy. We walked to... More

We are pleased to hear that you enjoyed the many great things to do in Lower Manhattan. It is a great area to explore for food, shopping, museum and just a fun walk. The 11th and 12th floor are completely new. Previously there were not guest rooms on those floors. The rooms on those two floors are smaller than the... More

My husband and I stayed here for four nights on a long weekend vacation in April 2015. This is not a luxury property, but it was clean and comfortable for a place to stay. We had a concern with the room being too warm the first night and the front desk sent someone up to fix the thermostat promptly. The... More

Found a bargain via hotels.com and stayed here for six nights. Great views over the city and Manhattan Bridge. Breakfast ok. Coffee from machine, juice from machine and ordinary bread and cereals, egg and fruit. The room needs renovation. Good bed and pillows. Nice staff.

We appreciate you staying with us. We apologize that you did not find the breakfast rooms to meet your expectations. We will continue to strive to improve in those areas. We do offer a variety of hot eggs and breakfast meat that rotate daily and a waffle station. I will pass on your kind words about the staff to them.... More

Stayed for a week at the end of March 2015, the room was very small but the bathroom was spacious and very clean. Breakfast was pretty good. Staff was friendly and accommodating. One huge negative was that they had problems with the elevator during our stay, had to take the stairs to the 11th floor! Location was interesting, it was... More

We appreciate you staying with us in March. I will certainly share with the staff you comments. Our sincere apologies for the elevator inconvenience. Fortunately it rarely goes down, but it is terrible to have it happen to you. The neighborhood is not for everyone. I find it a great feel for the unique neighborhoods of NYC and the restaurants... This hotel is located in Chinatown, but on the quieter edge of it near the Lower East Side (LES). Convenient to the subway (2 blocks) and the LES, not too far (walking distance) to SoHo. Hotel is basic and room is small, although bathrooms are large and very modern. We found the carpet stained and dirty but the room was... More

The hotel in Chinatown and near Soho is very conveniently located, near subways, with free internet, breakfast, and small but attractive rooms. This worked very well for our needs - and on a nice day we were able to walk to the Highline, Village, etc.

The hotel was reasonably cheap by NYC standards and I wasn't expecting four star service or facilities. The main reasons for booking were the location - wanted to be lower east side, would have preferred to be a little closer to east village, but it wasn't far to walk, the proximity to two subways, wifi and a free breakfast. We... More

We appreciate your feedback so we can improve our hotel for our guests. I sincerely apologize that our hotel did not meet your needs. I am not certain if you were using an Apple product, but their security is a bit different and can have difficulties with the internet. The help desk can assist with this. My apologies that the... We decided to stay here the first week of March 2015 based on good TA reviews, the hotel's proximity to a subway station (block and a half away), and a very attractive room rate for a Manhattan hotel. We arrived a few hours before the 4PM check-in and were pleasantly surprised that a room was ready for us. The room... More

We have stayed at this hotel twice now and will return thanks to the clean and comfortable rooms, free breakfast, kind and accomodating staff, good location between Soho and Lower East Side, closeness to useful subway lines, the exotic atmosphere of living in Chinatown (so completely different from home!), and good value for money!

Staying in Chinatown

Neighborhood Profile
Chinatown
Bursting with an amazing array of sights, sounds, and smells on every block, a visit to Chinatown feels like entering a different world. It’s a colorful spectacle that gets even more crowded on weekends, when families stream in to enjoy huge dim sum feasts and to stock up at the markets on Mott Street. To take a break from the buzz, grab something sweet from one of the many bakeries in the area and head to Columbus Park, where many Chinatown residents exercise, play games, and chat the day away.
