My wife and I have been owners at the W57th Street HGV for >5 years now. We've always had a great experience staying there. The location is perfect for our needs - close to Carnegie Hall, walking distance to Lincoln Center and easy access to all of the Manhattan museums. Great restaurants are easy walking or easy taxi distance. Staff... More

This location is so close to Central Park, Carnegie Hall, subway stops, great shopping, great restaurants, etc. The staff was very helpful too. There is a tower being built directly across the street but the construction only happens during business hours and we were out during the day so it wasn't a huge issue (to us).

At least as quiet as one can expect in midi-town Manhattan. This newly remodeled club hotel has an optimal mid-town location, very smartly decorated rooms, and is about as quiet as things get. It's a bit minimalist for those expecting a hotel experience. A little more effort at check in to let guests know what's available at the site would... More

West 57th is a great place to stay if you are seeing Broadway shows. It is also andy to Central Park and the many museums NYC offers. MOMA is just a few blocks away. Also there is a variety of excellent eating places nearby including Morton's where grocery shopping and buffet meals are inexpensive ans good quality.

This hotel is great on cleanliness and presentation, but if you are looking for a stay with full service, this is not the place for you. Club members who do not own at this hotel cannot access breakfast/snack amenities, as they are not welcome. We like staying there because we can use our club points, but if we didn't have... More

Outstanding accommodations and staff. Excellent location. This location is just one block from Central Park, Columbus Circle and Carnegie Hall and only 12 blocks from Times Square. All within safe walking distance.

The hotel is conveniently located to shopping, restaurants and transportation. Despite being in the heart of Manhattan the room was very quiet. The one disappointing fact was how filthy the floors were in the room and the fact after three requests to have them cleaned it never happened.

We stayed here for 2 nights last week and it is a lovely property, much nicer than the average Hilton honestly. The rooms were spacious for NYC standards, and the bathrooms were beautifully appointed and really user-friendly. This is not an amenity hotel with a bar or restaurant or anything like that, but it is located smack dab in midtown... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
