We spent a week here and loved it! Our room was beautiful and clean, and the staff was very accommodating! We didn't spend a ton of time in the hotel as we were up early and didn't come home until late, but anytime we needed something everyone was very polite and helpful! My one and only complaint is the shower.... More

We stayed in The Waldorf Astoria when we visited NY last year, and wanted to stay in a different Hotel nearby this time. We were not disappointed. The cathedral skyline rooms afforded a wonderful view of the cathedral and The Rockefeller Center. The rooms were luxurious. Perfectly located for The Rockefeller Center and 5th Avenue. The subway is close by... More

The Palace is a great place to stay in NYC. It's location in midtown is hard to beat and the staff is very well trained. The rooms are clean in every detail and typically present little frustration to the most discerning eye. The rooms have an automation system that was designed many years ago, which, after staying here many times,... More

7 of us just returned , 4 adults and 3 teenagers all loved the hotel , staff very helpful in reception area and different concierges were all helpful and gave great restaurant advice. The meeting room staff on 5th Floor Business not as helpful , not trying to be rude or unhelpful but might have done a bit more to... More

While the hotel is centrally located and has the air of grander, the room or service itself is nothing all that different from other 4/5 star hotels (which is why I rate it "average" as compared to other upscale hotels). It is good sized for NY, nicely decorated, clean and comfortable. Check in was fast but reception staff were very... More

This hotel is centrally located with an excellent service overall. Walking distance to 5th Ave, 6th, 7th and time Square. The rooms are spacious and the service is very friendly. Though the internet service is poor even though it is not free $15.99 for 24 hours, however, you can get it for free in the terrace. Will definitely come back... More

This was our second stay at New York Palace and we'd obviously returned based on our previous experience. We'd booked two rooms and had arrived earlier than check-in. We were fine with the fact one room was ready whilst the second room wasn't. We returned around 6pm that afternoon and there was much confusion over the readiness of the second... More

My husband and I stayed at New York Palace for our tenth anniversary. Besides being reasonably priced, immaculate, and in a great location, the staff at New York Palace went over-the-top-out-of-their-way to make sure our anniversary was special. We felt like newlyweds because of the treatment we received. They assisted us with surprises we had for each other. Would HIGHLY... More

We stayed at this hotel for my father's 50th birthday and my parents anniversary and it was beyond amazing. The hotel itself is just beautiful and particularly special for anyone who likes gossip girl (it's Chuck's hotel!) To say they treated my parents for their anniversary/birthday is an understatement! We had our rooms upgraded and then a bottle of champagne... More

I should remember to never again book a hotel that doesn't have free wi-fi. Although the web site lists under 'Services and Amenities' that it offers 'High-speed wireless and broadband Internet access' this wasn't included in our room rate. The concierge told me there is no free access to computers or internet in the hotel. Luckily there are nearby sandwich... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
