Great location as close to the subway, so makes visiting lots different areas in the city easy. Having visited several hotels in New York this has good sized rooms, is really clean and they are contemporary. The Sky Bar has lovely views over the city and the barman made a mean cocktail. Only problem we had whilst staying was one... More

I needed to book 60 rooms (w/ limited budget) for my organization for our conference. I was very pleased with the quality and service at the Indigo right from the start: very friendly & professional. I lived in NYC for 15 years, so knew the neighborhood: in the heart of the flower district, close to Penn Station, and subway lines:... More

We stayed at Hotel Indigo for 2 nights and had a very enjoyable stay. It must be said that check-in was very chaotic. We first arrived shortly before midday and it took us quite some time to check in as there were lots of other people checking in and out at that time. We were not able to go to... More

This hotel is tiny. Not what i expected, but the service is good, the room is decent and it's located close to where i needed to be. Nothing spectacular. Nice enough for a 4 day business trip. Free wifi which is awesome.

My friend and I stayed at the Indigo for 4 nights and it was AWESOME! We were in town for a friend's wedding so we needed a convenient place to stay and the Indigo was perfect. The staff -- front desk, bellman, restaurant host/bartender, housekeeping -- were all very kind and extremely helpful. The room, by NY standards, was a... More

Stayed for a long weekend. Great location, easily walk to Times Square and also close to subway stations. The room was very comfortable for the two of us, the front desk and service people were genuinely friendly and, again, great location. Loved the Aveda products and Keurig coffee. Highly recommend as a great base for touring NYC.

The staff are outstanding: friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. The hotel itself is okay (complementary breakfast is continental only), with reasonable facilities and sleep quality. It is a busy area, though very convenient for subway access, Macy's, 42nd St, Broadway etc.

We were in NYC for a wedding 10/22-23. This hotel is a two minute walk from Penn Station, about 4 blocks to The High Line and about 3 blocks to the wedding venue we were going to. Front desk allowed us to check out a little late the day of the wedding, which was nice, and the rooms are very... More

Great small hotel (about 6 rooms per floor), great location, great bar with a view on the top floor. Close to subway as well. I will stay there again.

We stayed at hotel indigo for 6 nights at the start of our American holiday. The staff were very nice and went out of there way to help us out from organising cars to take us places to looking up information on baseball on there private twitter accounts to give us updated information. The subway is only half a block... More

Staying in Chelsea

Neighborhood Profile
Chelsea
Home to hundreds of art galleries, beautiful brownstones, and one of New York’s newest and most popular attractions, Chelsea is one of the city’s jewels when it comes to neighborhood life. The contemporary art scene is an integral part of the neighborhood’s identity, with gallery openings almost every night of the week and countless exhibits to explore. As a longtime hub of gay culture in New York City, it’s also a diverse district with a vibrant nightlife scene. The opening of the High Line, an abandoned elevated train track transformed into a world-class pedestrian park, gave this neighborhood new life as a tourist destination. The High Line provides visitors with a tranquil, elevated space with incomparable views, providing an unparalleled way to experience the city.
