We stayed here two nights. Perfect location for all shopping, transportation and walking needs. Would HIGHLY recommend. Hotel recoganized elite status and had a very small amenity at checkin. Not a big deal. Minor Caveats: AC in room not very functional, had to open the window at night to cool off [even in winter, the room was very warm]. Got... More

Stayed here for 4 nights on a business trip. 1) Hotel has a small footprint with 8 rooms per floor. 2) Rooms are average size for NY, (smaller than other cities). 3) Staff was very efficient and friendly. I had a couple of minor maintenance issues with the room which were addressed efficiently and speed. 4) I had a 3rd... More

This hotel on 28th Street & 7th Ave. is a short distance from Penn Station but it's location in the flower district and off the avenues makes for quiet nights. The staff was accommodating and friendly, it was very clean, the room was large, and there is a nice restaurant and bar on site. The bathroom was a bit odd,... More

Stayed here with friends on a short visit to NYC. Friendly staff, no fuss. Nice clean room with two comfortable queen beds with lovely linen. Light, modern decor and functional AC. Generous bathroom with great monsoon shower and lovely AVEDA products. We didn't eat here, there are loads of places nearby. Went up to the rooftop bar for a few... More

We went to NYC this past weekend (Veteran's Day) for fun. We wanted to use points and found we could stay at Hotel Indigo in Chelsea or another couple of properties closer to Times Square (where the other couple was staying). We chose Indigo since we've stayed at the Chicago location and enjoy the "boutique" experience whenever possible. It was... More

NYC hotel rooms are small, and there no getting around it on most budgets. Indigo delivers the next best thing: clean, cheerful,well-serviced, stylish... An overall great impression with sparkling hardwood floors and the freshest-smelling sheets I've had in a hotel in years. The rooftop bar was a fun addition and a nice way to look out over the city. Everyone... More

It's really hard to beat what you get with the price you pay here. Nice, fancy, clean. Rooms are well appointed, clean, and have plenty of room for NYC. The restaurant is nice and has good food with prices that are competitive for the area. Everyone on the staff was very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend. And the location is... More

We stayed at Hotel Indigo for 5 nights. My husband was on business and lucky me was having a holiday! I can't recommend this hotel high enough. The location was perfect (close to great shopping, easy walk to theater district and right near a subway for my husband to get downtown). The room was definitely the largest I've stayed in... More

Another fall weekend spent in NYC - this time at the Hotel Indigo Chelsea. The location is very convenient - a short walk to a couple of subway stations and you're almost anywhere in the city. The hotel has a small lobby, but it was never crowded, so no issue. It's a relatively small hotel, so you're not waiting hours... More

Neighborhood Profile
Home to hundreds of art galleries, beautiful brownstones, and one of New York’s newest and most popular attractions, Chelsea is one of the city’s jewels when it comes to neighborhood life. The contemporary art scene is an integral part of the neighborhood’s identity, with gallery openings almost every night of the week and countless exhibits to explore. As a longtime hub of gay culture in New York City, it’s also a diverse district with a vibrant nightlife scene. The opening of the High Line, an abandoned elevated train track transformed into a world-class pedestrian park, gave this neighborhood new life as a tourist destination.
