Very nice hotel! stayed with my husband for a weekend in August 2015. We were looking for a nice hotel pretty close to Madison Square Garden, and this turned out to be a great choice!! The hotel is a 5 minute walk to MSG and has everything you need right around it. The room was nice, a little on the... More

In the depths of the Big Apple lies a Hotel of peace and contentment they call it the Hotel Indigo. It is clean, friendly and in a great location away from the insanity of mid town but close enough to be near major attractions

The front desk and especially the housekeeping staff are great here. Rooms are always made up promptly after you leave. The bathroom items are always replenished, and above all the rooms are clean and quiet and have very comfortable beds. It's right in Chelsea and near a lot of restaurants and shopping. And close to several subway stations. I will... More

It wasn't bad, don't get me wrong. And the staff did try to help, but I imagine only within their own internal processes. So they couldn't find my booking in their own system, even though I had the confirmation from Booking.com Ringing Booking... had to be suggested, but even then administrative troubles ensued. Which I imagine can happen, I won't... More

Room was comfortable, bathroom very clean, decor amusing, and Security no one can get on elevator without card. Breakfast was delicious, order the fruit- big portion, and location is perfect near Madison Square Garden. Will stay again.

The food at the roof top was OK and the wine selection wasn't the best. The location does boast an amazing view of the Freedom Tower. Great in the summer. Would consider going back if they updated the menu

I have stayed at this hotel many times in the past and have always been warmly greeted by Arturo at the front desk. On this occasion, I arrived late and was checked in by the night manager. I asked for a room on a high floor or facing the back as I know that this hotel can be noisy. I... More

we visited this hotel 3 years ago and loved it, however our recent visit was incredibly disappointing! Little attention has been given to upkeep over the past 3 years and rooms are showing this lack of attention badly; headboards worn, paintwork bashed, furniture tired. The lovely atmosphere in the lovely rooftop bar has alas moved on somewhere else leaving the... More

Staying in Chelsea

Neighborhood Profile
Chelsea
Home to hundreds of art galleries, beautiful brownstones, and one of New York’s newest and most popular attractions, Chelsea is one of the city’s jewels when it comes to neighborhood life. The contemporary art scene is an integral part of the neighborhood’s identity, with gallery openings almost every night of the week and countless exhibits to explore. As a longtime hub of gay culture in New York City, it’s also a diverse district with a vibrant nightlife scene. The opening of the High Line, an abandoned elevated train track transformed into a world-class pedestrian park, gave this neighborhood new life as a tourist destination. The High Line provides visitors with a tranquil, elevated space with incomparable views, providing an unparalleled way to experience the city.
