I recently stayed here for work and thought that it was just fine. It's an IHG property, but likely not quite as high quality as others that I've stayed at. However, there is nothing wrong with the hotel, especially given the rate. The area is in Chelsea on a street in the flower district. This is important for two reasons,... More

Convenient to the No. 1 and walking around Chelsea area. Small rooms. Clean. Confortable Don't stay here if you need a fast internet connection. Constant logging in. Very poor connection. Sometimes took several minutes between screens. I reverted to using my cell phone. A real DEAL BREAKER for me. I wont be back. Rooftop Bar is a waste. Poor selection... More

As we drew up outside the hotel I felt my heart sink. The area looked dodgey. Inside the hotel at the lobby I just wanted to cry. When we got into the room that's exactly what I did. The lobby is just a check-in desk. There's nothing else save a bench seat! When we got out of the lift I... More

The staff was very nice and made us feel welcome. Nice localization, near from the subway. We took a room for 4, and to this situation the room was small. After all, i would definitely stay there another time.

Was a last minute reservation to make my trip a long weekend.. Clean. Spacious and friendly staff. def recommend staying here... Close to times sq without being in it.. Times square is too loud even at night.. And this is on a quiet street after 10pm on a Friday in Chelsea... Could use more street lights but that didn't really... More

We recently stayed for 9 nights at the Indigo, our first visit there while attending some talks by HH the Dalai Lama. The room was clean and modern. It has a "boutique" feel to it. What stood out were the people working the front desk: Olivia and Jason were the two we most interacted with. From suggesting great local restaurants... More

Great value for the price. Very comfortable rooms, nice new bathrooms, shower only (my preference). Noise level normal for NYC. Easy walk from Penn Station. Able to catch two different subway lines on this street, making it a very convenient place to stay. Beautiful contemporary restaurant and bar. Bartenders very friendly. I didn't try the food.

We love the indigo chain they just seem to get it right from free wifi and coffee to great toiletries! This is a boutique style hotel with artworks and stylish shots splashed across the walls, a cool downstairs bar and restaurant and small but perfectly formed roof bar and terrace. We stayed for three nights, our room was larger than... More

This hotel rates itself as four star establishment but does not have the service or ambience to match. I chose Indigo over the larger 'brand/chain' hotels in order to get personal service and boutique ambience. The overall look of the hotel while 'trendy' is looking tired and knocked about. The rooms are small, to be expected in NYC, but the... More

This is a nice hotel chain. Have had good experiences at the Jacksonville, FL property and except for NYC prices this was great. You will be right in the heart of the floral district with an easy walk to multiple subway stops, including Penn Station. The room was nice, clean and the staff very accommodating. Lots of restaurants, Starbucks etc.... More

Neighborhood Profile
Chelsea
Home to hundreds of art galleries, beautiful brownstones, and one of New York’s newest and most popular attractions, Chelsea is one of the city’s jewels when it comes to neighborhood life. The contemporary art scene is an integral part of the neighborhood’s identity, with gallery openings almost every night of the week and countless exhibits to explore. As a longtime hub of gay culture in New York City, it’s also a diverse district with a vibrant nightlife scene. The opening of the High Line, an abandoned elevated train track transformed into a world-class pedestrian park, gave this neighborhood new life as a tourist destination. The High Line provides visitors with a tranquil, elevated space with incomparable views, providing an unparalleled way to experience the city.
