The rooms were very clean and all decor, furnishings, and bathroom fixtures updated. The rooms were small, but typical for NYC. There was no closet - only a wardrobe, but it was fine. The bed was very comfortable. Staff was friendly. Breakfast was excellent. There was some construction noise in the afternoon, but it was quiet enough at night.

Not impressed, from the extra small room, even by NYC standards, for this price there are some great alternative boutiquish options around. Staff are friendly and quickly checked me in. Now, if your a business traveler and just need a bed, fine, be warned though, no room service, there is a restaurant attached but it's take out only or dine... More

Great location, walking distance from Penn Station, local subway, Macy's and Herald Square shopping district, Empire State Building. The double room was perhaps the smallest double room I've ever been in. I regularly stay at a Hotel Indigo near the Raleigh-Durahm Airport, its rooms are lovely, spacious, and their staff is tremendously helpful. Staff here at the Chelsea property were... More

I had an incredible time. I had a difficult situation due to the fact that I am from Florida and was traveling due to work. I have been waiting to do this review for some time now,but I had a family emergency that caused me to delay this review. I want to say that Dianne at the front desk took... More

I highly recommend this hotel to everyone! The rooms were clean and the staff was very accommodating . I will say the IHG brand has come a long way but some of their prices are still ridiculous for a hotel indigo. If you can find a good deal on this hotel... Stay here !

My wife and I and even some of our adult children have stayed at Indigo several times over the last few years. Last night we booked two rooms for ourselves and some family. Everything that we've come to expect in terms of superb reception services that are so smooth and hasslefree along with very helpful staff was present this time... More

Hotel Indigo is easy accessible when you arrive EWR by plane. The rooms are clean and equipped with a coffeemaker. In spite being in the middle of a hectic area, it was very quite in my room at the 11th floor. The only thing I could wish was that the complementary breakfast could easily been (much) better. You are given... More

This hotel is very up scale and modern with a European feel. I spent one night there in room 904. I had to use my room key to access my floor from the elevator which gave me an added since of security. Traveling as a woman by myself this security was very appreciated..My room was very clean, tidy and spacious... More

The hotel is situated in a unique area of NYC (Chelsea), among the floral wholesale businesses. The hotel is close to a subway stop, which can easily get you to most areas of NYC. I've stayed at another Indigo hotel in Chicago and they have the same vibe. An eclectic and sometimes whimsical decor, with a hotel restaurant. There is... More

Staying in Chelsea

Neighborhood Profile
Chelsea
Home to hundreds of art galleries, beautiful brownstones, and one of New York’s newest and most popular attractions, Chelsea is one of the city’s jewels when it comes to neighborhood life. The contemporary art scene is an integral part of the neighborhood’s identity, with gallery openings almost every night of the week and countless exhibits to explore. As a longtime hub of gay culture in New York City, it’s also a diverse district with a vibrant nightlife scene. The opening of the High Line, an abandoned elevated train track transformed into a world-class pedestrian park, gave this neighborhood new life as a tourist destination. The High Line provides visitors with a tranquil, elevated space with incomparable views, providing an unparalleled way to experience the city.
