Boutique style hotel within walking, or a short metro ride to all of what New York City has to offer. The rooms are much larger than the typical NYC hotel rooms. Plus the prices are well below the others. Rooms are very clean and not noisy. I'm looking forward to returning to the city for leisure and once again staying... More

First time in a hotel in NY, I stayed at Carvi for 3 days (late Feb 2015 - weather extremely cold). This hotel was a decent price and close to where I wanted to be. The staff were polite and friendly. The room as clean, neat and a little small (but not Japanese way). Not a great view, but I... More

Stayed here for 4 days in feb 2015, during the coldest days they have experienced in NYC in many years. The hotel,is near Bloomingdales and just off Lexington. Central , clean , modern and relatively quiet for a hotel in NYC. Hotel staff are exceptionally nice and helpful. Definitely stay here again.

We stayed at the Carvi from 12th to 17th Feb 15. Arrived at midnight and were greeted with a warm welcome from Lucy at reception. She gave us loads of info about where to eat, what to see and do. Rooms not big but perfectly adequate. Comfiest bed I have ever slept in!. Very clean and not noisy.(we were on 3rd... More

I stayed at the hotel for business and stayed on the upper floors. The room was a good size for one person. I really enjoyed my stay. But stayed a second time a couple of weeks later with my family and the room was too small. We got stuck on the first floor. The bathroom didn't work really well. The... More

Terrible RUDE customer service! General Manager Greg Kopchak has no customer service etiquette whatsoever!! Booked a nonrefundable hotel stay at The Carvi on Valentines Day 2015 visiting from across the country, my son's 1st time to the city! We needed to change from a queen to either doubles or a king. Manager was not able to accommodate and was extremely... More

Stayed at the hotel for a quick family getaway. Comfortable, clean, fantastic location. Easy to get to the subway or hail a cab. Friendly desk staff, amazing beds, and the rooftop patio was perfect after a long day of traveling to the city.

I stayed at the Carvi in December 2014 while my daughter had some treatment at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. The hotel is less than two short blocks from the MSK Outpatient Center on 53rd St. The room was clean and was perfect for what I needed -- a decent and reasonably priced place to stay near MSK. My room... More

Stayed at the Carvi in December after enjoying the Alvin Ailey show. The hotel was not difficult to find but the room was small, as should be anticipated when staying at any boutique hotel. I had a short stay for business in early December. Check in was easy and the staff was pleasant. The room was small, clean and met my needs. Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
