Want to start off by sending a thank you to the front desk manager. This hotel has clean rooms with everything you need. No, not a lot of space but that's NYC! We had a room facing the "almost" rooftop terrace. I travel a lot so good ventilation, good water pressure, fluffy towels and cleanliness...mixed with a bit of style... More

My first time in New York. This was a perfect location. It was clean and close to the subway. The staff was friendly. The room was not very big but definitely comfortable for 2 people. We got a queen sized bed. I plan on staying there my next visit to New York.

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Carvi hotel a month ago while spending a weekend in Manhattan. The location was spectacular. It was walking distance to countless restaurants and bars. There were great brunch places nearby. We were greeted by friendly staff in a very modern & eclectic lobby. Our room was on the 6th floor. It was incredibly... More

paper thin walls, i could hear the front desk chatter all night and from the room next to mine occasionally. the room was also in pretty bad shape (rusting fixtures in bathroom, spackle on carpet etc). reserved the room because of the location and expected more based on the web site. too bad.

Dear Carl G, Thank you for taking a minute to leave us a review of your stay. It seems as though we swung and missed badly during your time with us. For the few rooms we do have in the lobby area, we try to be very conscious of the noise and our Front Desk staff is very proactive in... More

Larger-than-average-size persons might not like this hotel: the halls are very narrow and the shower is tiny. But for the rest of us, it is a great value. The bathroom actually had 3 different outlets, rare in hotels, and you could reach the outlets in the bedroom (also rare!) The bed linens were VERY nice and so were the towels.... More

Dear Sandra H, Thanks for the great review! I would definitely agree with your tip of staying up on the 7th floor if you can. It's very easy to take the elevator up there but why not just walk down the hall! Hope you had a safe trip home! Best, Victor More

The location was perfect and the hotel, being small, has a very personal feel. It was nice not to have to deal with crowds when coming or going. We only took one taxi in 4 days, walked everywhere. We had 2 queen beds in a nice size room, the linens and bed were very comfortable, soft towels, and though the... More

stayed here recently and yes the location is good and the room was ok. My proble was that I booked through a 3rd party & requested a twin room - when I arrived I was told this information had not been passed on to the hotel. So I had to make do with a queen room. The other issue I... More

The Carvi is intimate, exceptionally clean and well-located for a Manhattan stay. While not in the heart of Time Square with its concomitant noise and constant hustle and bustle the Carvi was great for our weekend stay to attend the theater. The hotel is also close to Central Park and major NYC shopping. The staff we encountered were very friendly,... More

The location was absolutely perfect! We could easily walk to Central Park, Fifth Avenue, Grand Central, and museums. Good restaurants within a block or two. Subway right around the corner. Staff was friendly and helpful, especially with assistance in hailing a taxi on a rainy morning -- not an easy task! Our room on the 6th floor was small, but... More

I stayed at Carvi a few years ago and have been dying to head back. The rooms were so clean and the hotel itself is very modern and welcoming. I remember my room having an I-home alarm clock, where some hotels I've visited don't even have alarm clocks at all and rely on wakeup calls. Noise from other rooms/hallways was... More
