Stayed at the Carvi in December after enjoying the Alvin Ailey show. The hotel was not difficult to find but the room was small, as should be anticipated when staying at any boutique hotel. The room I stayed in was one facing the 55th st. so there was a window in the room. The room was clean, there was a... More

I had a short stay for business in early December. Check in was easy and the staff was pleasant. The room was small, clean and met my needs. My room was at the front of the hotel, and was not terribly noisy, only some street noise in the morning. I never saw another guest even though I understand the hotel... More

What a stress free pleasure. A close walk to everywhere I wanted to be. Great bed. It was quiet friendly and comfortable. The size of the hotel was a plus, I like smaller hotels because they are not so crowded and don't overwhelm me. It's Hard to find that in New York city in such a great location.

Incredibly well priced for the area. Cool, modern boutique hotel. I had a great experience staying here. Very well priced for New York. Nice ambiance and furniture. Warm, friendly staff, great vibe. Beautiful rooms. Quiet and peaceful. Location, location, location. You can't beat the proximity to Times Square, the centre of the world (without being in it which isn't fun).... More

After always staying just outside Manhattan when we've visited, it was a welcome surprise to stay so close to everything, but not close enough to hear the noise. We had a lovely stay at carvi, and would throughly recommend it to any of our friends and family that were visiting in the future.

Location is good. Rooms are clean. Beyond that... my room had no windows. While I could argue that made it quiet, that was not the case. There was a constant on and off rumbling sound all night that sounded like a ship's engine. All night. got no sleep as a result. This is a strange hotel, with no one to... More

After staying near grand central before, we wanted to try nearer to Moma, and walking distance to central park. It was also a quick walk to many street level stores and the subway. What we didn't realize was that the Carvi would be so nice all around. The bed was soft but supportive. The pillows had been changed out like... More

Want to start off by sending a thank you to the front desk manager. This hotel has clean rooms with everything you need. No, not a lot of space but that's NYC! We had a room facing the "almost" rooftop terrace. I travel a lot so good ventilation, good water pressure, fluffy towels and cleanliness...mixed with a bit of style... More

My first time in New York. This was a perfect location. It was clean and close to the subway. The staff was friendly. The room was not very big but definitely comfortable for 2 people. We got a queen sized bed. I plan on staying there my next visit to New York.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
