I used this hotel twice during my travel. First time some fleas bitten my legs - I asked manager for help and cleaning lady pour a lot of chemicals on the floor (smells terrible). Next day legs were safe ;) after free days I took the room as well and ... the same situation ... because we wanted to avoid... more

We were a group of 21 people and we all stayed in the hostel. our profs had single rooms which were cosy and clean. Our (students) rooms were clean too, some of them were a bit dark, but overall more than ok. I liked the staff, they were helpful. Somebody wrote that homeless people were walking around in the corridors.... more

I stayed in the 6 bed room for one night. The staff was pleasant, and the hostel was clean and quiet. One block from Central Park and the subway. Computer with internet available, $2 for 20 minutes. There are no elevators, so that would be a disadvantage if you have heavy luggage. One minor caveat-- there were no paper towels... more

Michael Santo and Andre Smith may our stay at the hostel very enjoyable. They went out of their way to help us in in any way possible. They were polite and mannerly not like what I had heard of New Yorkers. I want to thank them for all their help. We from the college all talk about how well we... more

We arrived late at the hostel with a group of 33 students, faculty, staff, and community members from SW VA to explore the immigrant experience in New York. We had encountered some surprises along the way but Andre provided the group with a smooth registration and made a point of assuring we would be prepared with breakfast before setting out... more

The position of this hostel is good BUT weigh up whether you want to share the place with HOMELESS people walking around the corridors. The staff take fake details of people when they check in (ie they accept IDs that say 'THIS IS NOT AN ID' and ones that are obviously fake: since when was new orleans in the state... more

I stayed 3 nights/4 days with 5 other friends (four girls, two guys) in one of their 6 person bedrooms. PERFECT Location at the tip of Central Park, 20 second walk down the street to the Subway or a 60 block walk to Times Square (I did it, wasn't bad at all!) Smelled of Oranges and VIM every morning, staff... more

This place is a great place to stay if you are going with a large group, simply because you are all staying in rooms on the same level, you will understand what i mean once you stay there! I stayed there last week for 5 nights, 6 days. As far as im concerned there was no perverts, rats or insects... more
