Love this hotel, right in the middle of everything , three blocks to the left and your in Times Square. One block forward and your at Macy's. Right opposite Maddison square garden with Lucy's Mexican restaraunt at the side the best budget food in nyc. Subway stations for both up and downtown just outside . The hotel may not be... More

We were fortunate to find a last-minute deal for a suite on the 40th floor. Our window views were of the Empire State Building, which is just beautiful at night when it is lit up. The room was comfortable and clean, the bathroom was marble and also clean. The service was outstanding. Definitely a property that I would visit again.

Loved this actual hotel, gorgeous architecture and really convenient location. Unfortunately really poor service. Got in early after a long flight, jet lagged. They hadn't upgraded our room as requested (and paid for). Didn't want to do anything about it as we'd made the booking through booking.com. Were quite rude about it. Finally booking.com ensured they upgraded us, about an... More

I stayed here for 5 nights in January 2015. Since a business trip a few years back, I've always wanted to come back to NY with my wife and stay in the the New Yorker as it is such an iconic hotel. It is promoted as "recently renovated" and whilst this might be true, our room didn't look like it's... More

Stayed here on a ladies only trip to New York. There were five of us in two rooms, first hurdle was we had only three beds which was a bit of a shock as we had got the tour operator to email the hotel to stipulate that we wanted a bed each. After some wrangling at reception we did get... More

I've only given the hotel a 3 out of 5 rating, simply because there were a few things that irritated me, which I don't need when I'm on holiday. Things like this may not irritate everyone, so this is just my personal opinion. All in all, I would stay here again if I saw a good deal. My main bug... More

If you want a hotel that is within walking distance of Times Square, Broadway, the Empire State building and located in the heart of the commercial district with Madison Square Garden on the doorstep , this place is for you! There are also subway stations close by. The hotel is clean, friendly and offers great service. There are two restaurants... More

Expectations for NYC hotels are different than almost anywhere else in the country. Obviously rooms are small in almost all NYC hotels, but other standards seem to be different as well. In my opinion, if this hotel were located almost anywhere else in the country it would be rated a 3 star (or 3.5 at best) hotel. As others have... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
