Just returned from the most amazing stay at the New Yorker! I cannot fault this hotel in any way!! We booked our trip through Expedia. I made contact with the hotel prior to our arrival asking for nice high rooms with a view as we were traveling with a couple of New York first timers and wanted their trip to... More

I'm going to start by saying I usually criticize people who leave bad or poor reviews. I think they are looking for something wrong, and are just unhappy. Well today I am going to be one of those people. Came to NYC for Eric Claptons 70th bday concert at madison square gardens, staying 3 nights. This is my fourth time... More

As a first time tourist I can really recommend this hotel. The location is great for a first timer since it is close to almost everything in mid town. The rooms are above average and the seivice is really great.

This is my third visit to The New Yorker. This is a really well located hotel with access to mid-town attractions and great subway links for the rest of Manhatten and the airports. My son and his new wife are going for their honeymoon in the summer, and we our friends are staying in January 16 - so that says... More

Stayed 3 nights in a New Yorker Double on 29th floor. The room was OK with a nice view of the Hudson and New Jersey City. The bathroom was outdated and very small. Shower was very dificult to set on the right temperature. Was allowed to check out one hour late without any problems. The hotel is located right next... More

This hotel is in a perfect location for our needs right next to Penn Station, Madison Square Gardens, Macy's, Times Square and all metro train links. Its a very art deco feel to the hotel and the room was large and clean and pleasant. The breakfast we had was good cereals and yogurt and toast and bagels/pastries which were fresh.... More

We stayed on the 36th floor overlooking the city/hudson. The staff were friendly and the room comfortable. The overall location is brilliant for first time visitors, everything is so close. The tick tock diner was as expected, quick reasonably priced meals and always accommodating. Would definitely stay again.

The front desk only had one of our rooms. Glad I brought hard copies of our reservation or we wouldn't have gotten the 2nd room.

Located a block from Penn Stn, we were able to get around easily. The room was smaller than we expected, but comfortable. The efficient housekeeping staff kept the room ready for us. The Diner restaurant in the lobby floor serves an outstanding breakfast, and the service is memorable. Although the hotel is always full, and the lobby filled with people,... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
