We visited for 3 nights as part of a longer trip. We arrived from JFK airport via the air train and E train subway. Took us about an hour in total And saved around $100 with no traffic issues. Checked straight in with no issues into a fantastic double queen room. we were on the side overlooking a fantastic view... More

Stayed for 6 nights this was our last stop after 4 weeks in America, the room we where first given was old and small, no where to put suitcases .Went down to reception to ask for a room that had been renovated .Paid an additional $20 a night for a renovated room. Much better, bigger and fresh looking. The Hotel... More

Lovely hotel, recieved an upgrade fr no reason at all, which meant we could see the Empire State Building from our window! The staff were very friendly and proffessional, the beds were so comfortable. Would defiantly stay again!

Being a long time Wyndham Reward Member I of course booked through Wyndham's Web Site. Of course this saves the hotel booking fees, but if you think this will get you any consideration when assigning a room forget it, as we spent 5 days of looking at an air shaft in a very dark room. Not all was bad as... More

Great room. Friendly staff. Good value for the location. Enjoyed the 24 hour diner attached to the hotel.

After reading many mixed reviews on this place I was a little bit unsure of what to expect. Getting in on a Friday night, check in was quick and friendly and in the room in no time at all. Room was small but very comfortable, but as we were only sleeping there it wasn't a big issue. There was also... More

Stayed here to celebrate our birthdays. the location is perfect - central for walking around the main attractions and right beside main subway station (the cheapest and best way to travel around) which can take you uptown and downtown and links up to airtrain from JFK. Hotel has a 24 hour Tick Tock Diner which has good friendly staff serving... More

We were really excited to stay here for a stay - cation to be tourists in our own state and to see the local sites. When we arrived the concierge was confused why a same sex couple would want a king size bed. She asked us twice if this bed set up was correct. The hotel is actually a dorm... More

Had been worried about what to expect as I have read lots of negative reviews. We found the staff to be courteous. Our room, a standard queen on the 20th floor, was not as small as I expected, was cleaned well every day of our stay. We didn't hear much noise either from other rooms or the city. The bathroom... The New Yorker is our favorite place to stay when we visit the City. We have stayed several times. This was a special occasion, one year since I proposed to my wife. I requested the same room we had a year ago and the staff obliged. Another great stay and experience. Suzie (Concierge) was especially great. She has always made... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
