Excellent location - close to Penn Station and Madison Square Garden - tiny but modern rooms (the tiny is expected in NYC) - only one problem was that the tap in the bathroom sink had no pressure and only dribbled out and we mentioned this a few times and was never fixed and no follow up from staff - a... This hotels rooms were not very spacious, and the parking was quite pricey (over $50 a day). Our view wasn't anything special. Oh and wifi/fitness room access was expensive. If you expect all of this going in, then it is fine.

I picked the hotel, due to it being literally across the road from Penn station, we were given a room with a fantastic view of the Empire State, the room was very small, and carpets and general Decor are looking a bit tatty, having said that the beds were extremely comfy. It was good to have someone on the door... More

Hotel is a block from MSG and was an outstanding value. Must compliment the staff for their friendliness and professionalism. Witnessed a man go off on an employee behind the check-in desk. The customer was belligerent and exceptionally rude (as well as in the wrong, in my opinion) but the gentleman dealing with him simply remained professional and courteous-- not... More

Liked the hotel for facilities, free WIFI, hospitality and value (for New York). Its a little tired now but still clean with an excellent maid service daily. The local area isn't great for restaurants. You need to walk out for at least 20mins to get somewhere that is Mid Range Dining. (Apart from TIKTOK Diner which was good , but... More

Excellent location: 3 blocks from Empire State Building, walking distance to Macy Department Store, Time Squares and Korean Way if you liked a wide variety of Korean food. Our flight was early and the Front Desk Personnel checked us in right away so we could relax for a few hours before we start our sightseeing. Rooms are remodeled, wonderful decor,... More

The New Yorker was very centrally located. However the rooms were extremely tiny. The bathroom was so tiny there wasnt even an area to put cosmetics or a brush. The bed was very comfortable. And my only complaint was that when I called to ask to have a comforter brought to my room I was told very rudely that service... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
