The hotel had just been taken over and recently changed its name. The location was excellent. Our room was good, the beds amazing, no problem sleeping. Our view was over the the air con system but I didn't go for the hotel view I went to see the sights. The staff were very friendly and very helpful, loved Matthew. The... More

This is my third stay here and every time it has provided an excellent place to stay . All the reception staff and very helpful and friendly and we enjoyed the banter with Matt and Brian. Our room was on the 6th floor with an inside view but we only slept there and above all it was quiet. I have... More

This is my 2nd visit to this hotel as stayed there this time last year. This year we had Room 703 which was at the front of the building and was very noisy. The reception staff were very helpful and gave us a room at the back of the hotel and on the 12th floor which was much quieter and... More

We chose this hotel based on location (very central) and were positively surprised. We opened the curtains and there it was, NY's most famous landmark: The Empire State! What else can you ask as first impression? Rooms were spacious and breakfast was amazing: bagels, cream cheese, ham, eggs, donuts, muffins...Breakfast room was picturesque. Would not mind to repeat if we... More

Just returned from one week stay at 35 Herald Square. Fancy? No. Modern? No. Stylish? No, but hey, it's New York. We were up early, had hot showers in a clean and well equipped comfy room with two large beds, iron and board, fab air con ( yes, air con in October....needed believe it or not!) and enjoyed a decent... We stayed here for 7 nights In October and what a fantastic hotel it is. We had a double double room, and both the bedroom and the bathroom was a really good size, plenty of storage and a closet. Breakfast was good.. enough choice, I was happy to have a toasted bagel and muffin every morning but plenty of other... More

We stayed here for seven nights in a double, double room. It was a good size with two double beds which were really comfy, a large walk in closet and a good sized bathroom with nice toiletries provided. The breakfast was a good start to the day and there was plenty to eat. We read that you had to get... More
