My wife and I stayed at this hotel for an 11 night holiday in New York. Upon arrival we booked into the reception where the two guys on the desk were polite and helpful. We were told where and what time breakfast was (7am until 10am) and allocated room 409. As we took our luggage up to the 4th floor,... More

Recently returned from Hotel 35 with my husband after spending 5 nights here. What a fantastic place, we didn't have high expectations at all, with it being very reasonably prices and in such a good location, but we were truly surprised. Hotel was very welcoming, staff were excellent and always on hand to help and suggest places to eat/visit. Room... More

This is my second stay here, it has changed hands and there appears to be a lot of top down refurbishments underway. Great location, lovely staff on reception, breakfast is a bonus in NYC and is ok. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfy. Ask for an Empire state view, it's so close and Macey's is just at... More

Great location right round the corner from Macy's and right in the mix of things! subway station right at the end of the block. We stayed for 4 nights, i was meeting one of my sisters there while she vacationed in NYC . We arrived really early after a night flight from Vancouver, they offered to store our luggage but... We arrived at this hotel on 6th February ready for our week in New York. Woman on reception was really helpful and sorted us out a map so we can plan where we wanted to go. Got to the room and was shocked at how warm it was. It was as if a heater had been left on high for... More

Room was clean, bed was comfortable, staff were friendly and helpful. I found it noisy, a little tired although undergoing renovations (so one lift was not working), nice continental breakfast. But... wifi was slow and stopped from time to time making it difficult to work in the room so I went to the Starbucks at the end of the street.... More

Hotel 35, an up and coming gem in Herald Square. We recently visited the Big Apple and this is our home for four days. The staff was super friendly, helpful, and genuine. Just spent four days at Hotel 35 for my daughters 21st. Staff friendly and polite, room was a little "tired" but spotless, breakfast was of a good selection and plen ty. location brilliant for walking to most attractions. Its not the Ritz but a very nice, friendly and clean hotel.

In spite of an apparent recent re-furbishment, the reception area, lobby, stairs and our room appeared pretty "tired" - our bathroom in particular was uninspiring with dingy lighting, rust-coloured water out of the hot tap when first turned on (and hot water took 24 hours to actually materialise!). The beds however were VERY comfortable - but it was SO HOT... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
