comfy beds, secure lockers, inexpensive and good food at the cafe, newly reno'd bathrooms, lots of great common areas: kitchen, tv space, garden patio, lounges. You can even buy your own food and cook in the very well equipped kitchens, then eat in the dining area. Fab place. Close to two metro lines and lots of local restaurants.

Located to the west of Central Park, this hostel is one block from the 103rd street subway station, which takes you all the way into downtown Manhattan. Clean, spacious rooms with plenty of facilities, towels, bedding and storage locker. All the staff are really friendly, and really eager to help with whatever you need. Great Monday night welcome pub function... More

Got to the hostel check in was fine and the man behind the counter was lovely. Went up to my room (the lift is slow so I only used it to go up and stairs to go down) on my bed was a sheet screwed up at the end no towel as mentioned in description to me this wasn't clean... More

Sometimes I have a good idea, and sometimes I have a TERRIBLE idea. Choosing to stay here was by far one of the worst ideas I've ever had--right after dropping out of college. I came to NYC to celebrate my birthday and to rejuvenate after a year long deployment. I've stayed in hostels before and I've had good experiences, met... More

Such a great experience! Staff were helpful and the café staff were awesome also! great to have breakfast included! Greta place to stay if youre a solo traveller due to the tours that are organised. Great place to meet people and see places in New York that you might not otherwise get to see! Would 100 percent stay here again!... More

Stayed here for a few nights on my own. Rooms full of bunk beds with a locker for your case and other bits. Showers and other facilities were also good! Location isn't the best as you need to get the subway into times square but that's not a major issue. Also walkable to central park. Would deffo recommend!

This hostel is outstanding. My trip to NY was the best vacation ever and one of the reasons is this amazing hostel. I wanted to stay just two nights but ended up staying there six nights and almost missed my flight from DC back to Austria ^^ They offer many activities (most of them are for free) where you meet... blooody sick aye. Old mate Charlie at the reception desk is a laugh and they have plenty of organised tours. Nice communal area downstairs with pool table and a little cafe downstairs inside. Good for bagels and a few blocks walk to the top end of central park and Jackie Onassis Reservoir!

Great stay in a big friendly hostel, loads to do, interesting area, good subway links. Much much better that staying in a downtown hotel. Its on the upper west side, so a 5 minute subway ride downtown. Interesting non touristy area, good bars and restaurants nearby.
