This hotel is well located, the rooms are clean (but small) and the staff are very friendly and helpful. However, we had very little sleep as it is probably the noisiest hotel we have ever stayed in with paper-thin walls! Our first night (Halloween) was spent in Room 310 next to four young guys in 309 who were noisily pre-drinking... More

My girlfriend and I arrived for her first, my second trip to New York and the hotel couldn't have been better. We arrived 3 hours prior to check-in hoping to just drop off our luggage to our surprise they had a room ready. The room was small, but that's to be expected and was exceptionally clean. I had been nervous... More

We booked through Expedia, thanks to what looked like a great rate for a typical room for one night in NYC midtown. Upon our early arrival, the hotel staff let us store our bags in their closet until it was time to check in. We parked at a garage down the street (the hotel can stamp your pass, allowing you... My husband and I are just back from a fabulous 3 day break in NYC, where we stayed at the Seton Hotel. I cannot praise this hotel highly enough. It's beautifully decorated and immaculately clean, and could not be in better proximity to some of the best sites to visit. We were in an economy room with a shared bathroom... More

Stayed 3 nights, very close to all you need. Easy access to grand central and a 10-15 minute walk to Times Square and the empire state building. Couple of buildings down from the lively Peter Dillons bar, Plenty of places to eat within easy walking distance. All in all an enjoyable experience.

We chose the Seton more out of necessity than preference, but we were pleasantly surprised. We booked for two weeks and were very happy with the cleanliness, service, quietness and location. We were concerned about the shared bathroom (it was all we could afford) but could not have been happier at the effort made by the staff to keep it... More

I was booked to stay 3 nights in a double room. Upon arrival I was told that my room was not available and instead they put me into the single room (without bathroom facilities). I complained the next day and given a nicer room however they refused to reimburse me for the previous night (i only requested the difference). Overall,... More

I would like to express my sincere apology for the room type you received on the first night of your stay. It is an unacceptable oversight on our part that you did not receive proper compensation for this inconvenience that we would like to rectify immediately. Since your review reflects that your stay occurred in April are unable to figure... More

I stayed in one of the rooms that doesn't have it's own bathroom. It was not a big deal. The bathroom was right next to the room and it was a perfectly normal bathroom with a tub, shower, toilet, and sink. It really gave the hotel a B&B feel. The door locked (you might have to jiggle the handle a... More

The Seton Hotel's main selling points are a great location, mid-town and a welcoming team. The building is old, and rooms each have their own quirks. Some potentially noisy (but large), others very small indeed, but cheaper. Free (good) coffee in the morning is a nice bonus. Very near bus service to JFK and La Guardia Airports.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
