Staying at a boutique hotel in NYC generally means a few things: services (room service, etc) may be limited, rooms and baths will be smaller, and not everything will be crisp and modern. What the newer boutiques have tried to do is upscale the look of their rooms so that you might look past the tiny bath or sleeping area,... More

Dear Opinionated: It is always a pleasure to hear from a guest who is as knowledgable and detail oriented as you are. Keeping your review in mind I felt the need to explain just a few minor details. 10-20 year old air conditioners - heaven forbid! There is no A/C unit in the building that is more than 3 years... this is really an excellent hotel, right smack in the center of things, 5 minutes from Grand Central (subway), 5 minutes from Airport buses, lots of eateries close by so yes the location is superb! The hotel itself is really wonderful, the staff (days and nights) are genuinely friendly, interested, willing and have a wealth of information, tips, ideas etc.... More

We chose this hotel because it had such wonderful reviews and we weren't disappointed. Great value for money - room and bathroom spotlessly clean. In fact, if we had had to use the shared bathroom on our floor we would have been quite happy as this was also spotless and I understand they provide bathrobes if you do use it.... More

I chose this hotel based on the great reviews. I was also curious to see the person everyone has been speaking of in these reviews. Emanuel was everything I had read about. Very charming and simply put he is genuinly nice and doesn't seem to have a bad day. I stayed in a room with a shared bathroom and was... More

This is a really cute boutique hotel. For NYC the rooms are a good size. I've stayed at the 4 times pricier Soho Hotel and the room was smaller than the Seton. It was clean and cozy with creative decor. The staff are professional, generous, friendly and helpful. I accidental left a shopping bag with purchases after I checked out... More

Just had the most fabulous stay at the Seton Hotel in NYC. Amazingly friendly and fantastic staff - Daryl rocks and we wanted to take her home with us - she couldn't do enough for us and was such fun! All the staff couldn't really - they were all fab. Emanuel is still in disbelief that we managed to dance... More

I recently stayed at the Seton Hotel and really enjoyed my experience. The location was perfect. I was within walking distance to Grand Central Terminal which transported me everywhere I needed and wanted to be. The price was shockingly affordable. The staff was awesome. Emanuel went above and beyond so effortlessly and was genuinely happy to help. He truly loves... More

I love visiting New York City, and I think it's important to have a place to stay that is at least clean and comfortable. Seton Hotel lives up to both in my expectations. The concierge(s) were very helpful and friendly. The hotel is not big but offers good amenities and the rooms are of modern decor and appear to have... More

We stayed at Seton hotel from July 14 until July 21. The hotel was clean, the room service was good. Everything was ok except for the woman at the reception! I have never met a person who is more rude than her. I love Nyc, it's my second time but she ruined my vacation and my stay. Compared to other... More

My daughter and I went to New York City for a "girls getaway" before she heads off the college. That being said, we were looking for an inexpensive hotel in a great location that was comfortable, safe and clean. We got all that and more at the Seton. Emmanuel checked us in when we arrived and he was wonderful. Our... More
