This Upper West Side hotel is a real find. Doubtless it was partly the time of year (mid-February), but I was stunned by the reasonable rates and not sure what I would find when I got there. It is as other reviewers note a pleasant, comfortable, clean space, with a cozy little lounge off the lobby. I ended up with... More

Comfortable, small European-style hotel; clean and well maintained; simply but nicely furnished; very gracious and helpful staff. Breakfast very simple (cereal, breads, some fruits, juice) but coffee, thankfully, was superb. Nice French bakery and tea room across the street. Free Wi-Fi worked well. Basic room might be small for some but was perfectly adequate for my needs traveling alone. Bathroom... More

Due to bad weather, I cancelled my reservation 75 hours before arrival. I still was charged one night stay. I called them three times, and still was charged. I come to this hotel from Seattle every year, and usually I enjoy my stay there.

clean room. nice lobby. nice continental breakfast. seemed more like staying in an apartment than a hotel... Staff was helpful and courteous... felt very safe in both the neighborhood and in the hotel room and lobby.

Great position in the Upper West Side. So much better and quieter than staying midtown. Decent, reasonably priced, friendly hotel and a perfectly adequate breakfast is included. Thankfully the internet has been much improved since our last visit and you get the choice of free access or paid-for fast service. Recommended.

Milburn has been out home away from home for 25 years and it only gets better. The staff is exceptional and the location is great. The Milburn is a "older" hotel but all the amenities are up to date. For NYC the rooms are large and the kitchenette is an added bonus. The breakfast is good. Usually do not feel... More

Having splurged on a ticket for a Met Opera performance this past weekend, I was in no position to spend hundreds of dollars on accommodations; however, cleanliness and location were high priorities for me, and these qualities usually come at a price. After reading many tepid on-line reviews of NYC's so-called "best budget" hotels (all more expensive than the Milburn),... More

My home on NYC. Well located in the noblest area of Upper West Side, close to the Fairway, a splendid supermarket, walking distance from the Lincoln Center, Central Park and West Side Park. Subway stations very close to the hotel. I've been at the Milburn for over 12 years. I just love the hotel and the team!

First time back in NYC since moving back to DC. Was looking for a hotel in an area that I wasn't as familiar with. The Milburn is in a great location and is nearby to metro stations at 72nd and 79th. The room wasn't huge but offered us everything we needed. Our bed was especially comfortable.
