My husband and I just spent 3 nights at The Incentra Village and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Upon checking in we were informed that there were some issues with the water and that construction was going on. Vincent offered to find us alternative accommodation but as it was 8pm we decided to give it one night. The bed was cosy... More

After reading the positive reviews my boyfriend and I arrived in New York excited to see this accommodation and settle in. We were so disappointed to arrive to find the place a complete construction site - cables across hallways, power tools going, large piles of timber on the floor making it very difficult to squeeze through the narrow halls with... Dear Guest, Thank you for taking the time to share your impressions from your recent stay with us. . Weather in New York City has been unusually cold this February and caused unplanned delays in our contractor work schedule. We are proud to operate a modern guest house housed in a landmark building from 19-th century but in this case... More

Incentra is a great B&B in the West Village, easy to find and well located near the subway (8th & 14), there's so much to see and do within walking distance and the room was great value. The room we had, Dakota, was on the top floor which does mean dragging your cases up 4 flights of stairs but worth... More

My boyfriend and I stayed here on Vday 2015 and we were quite pleased with our overall stay. First impressions do mean a lot, however, and we were very shocked that the room we booked was not the room we were offered for our stay. There is construction being done and we weren't aware of this. Management also did not... More

I was there with my kids and the owners made our holydays a dream! We stayed at Washintong room, with the kitchenette. It's very well located. They helped us with lugagge and the last day they asked a taxi to the airport for us. I recommend this hotel!

This is my third stay at Incentra which I love. Its clean, very comfortable, well placed in the West Village, and since changing hands just a tad more expensive than it was but very reasonable for New York City. The rooms are charming, antique furnished with quality mattresses and linen, and the kitchenette is a godsend since Pastis closed. Staff... More

I stayed here twice, in different rooms, and my satisfaction levels were so different that I need to write two different reviews. This one is for the Stonewall Room, which I loved. True, it’s down two flights of stairs, but the lovely Vincent (who labels himself ‘the Untalented’) carried the bags without a murmur. It’s a two-double-bed room with plenty... More

From the minute we arrived to the end of our 4 day stay, we were able to call the Incentra Village House 'home'. All the staff were wonderful. Vincent ran out to the taxis to get our bags then dragged them to our rooms. He was so delightful and helpful in suggesting decent coffee, drinking and eating establishments close by.... More

This was my fourth trip to NYC & my second stay in the Incentra Village House. I never wish to stay anywhere else. We were a group of 4 women & I stayed with my daughter in the Gaylord Room, which is in the basement, which makes it cosy & quiet. Its a huge room & really feels more like... More

Staying in West Village

Neighborhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighborhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
