I have just arrived home after a six night stay in Incentra Village House and can highly recommend it. If you are looking for a warm welcome, an excellent location, super-comfortable bed and a cosy room, this is your place! It also has the most fabulous Managers, Vincent and Violetta: you couldn't find nicer people, they made my stay in... More

Vincent runs the place and he is is FABULOUS !!! He is very welcoming and did everything to make our stay an exceptional experience. Rooms are warm and charming. A refreshing change from the cookie cutter rooms at corporate hotels. Each room has a different personality. We stayed in the Garden Suite. Imagine your own private tiny garden in the... More

Very friendly and obliging staff, have only stayed in one place in N.Y. and this was it.Spent one week here and overall it was a good experience. We had the garden room which was a bit cramped but had a kitchenette.Looked a lot better on the web site.

A great location for West village, local bars and restaurants. A delightful house with lovely staff always on hand. I would recommend Incentra Village House as a great place to stay and enjoy New York.

I have stayed at incentra for many years and the prices have increased way beyond level of the accommodations -- the mini kitchen is a mess of electric cords plugged into an extension cord that has to plugged into an outlet mounted on the wall outside the kitchen closet -- the tv is not connected to a cable provider so... Convenient location on 8th Ave in the West Village - Just south of 14th Street Subway. Short walk to the Highline. Very large rooms with mini-kitchens. Comfortable bed, towels like new. Staff (Vincent and Violeta) were super accommodating. I stayed in the Stable - which is right on the sidewalk at 8th Ave. Instead of this being a drawback -... More

The hotel is in an old building. The rooms are idiosyncratic and well furnished with a variety of interesting furniture. The beds are very comfortable. Our room was in the basement with a well fitted kitchenette. The staff are outstandingly helpful and friendly. The area feels safe and there are good cafes, restaurants and supermarkets available locally. We would certainly... More

We had a fantastic week staying at the Incentra village. Obviously, a new York trip is not about hanging out all day in a hotel, but the Incentra provided a quiet, calm oasis after a long day hiking around manhattan. The west village and meat packing areas are excellent if you’re looking for a more relaxed, local view of New... More

My room had everything I needed, even a kitchen, but it was so quiet & peaceful eventhough I could see 8th Avenue. The bed was high & comfortable, the room very clean, & the lovely bathroom stocked with soap, shampoo, conditioner, & loads of towels. What I appreciated most were the 2 human beings, Vincent & Violeta, who always welcomed... More

Really like this place. It feels like you are staying at someone you know in town. Very clean, typical New York townhouse, with a friendly staff. Great location as well. Excellent choice if you love to walk around and discover the "Sex and the City" type of NY.

Staying in West Village

Neighborhood Profile
West Village
Stretching from Sixth Avenue to the Hudson River, the West Village is one of the city’s most coveted addresses. Full of trendy shops, historic taverns, and cozy restaurants set amid 19th century architecture, this neighborhood has a unique old-world feel. You won’t find a more picturesque location in Manhattan. Without the traditional city grid layout, it’s easy to get lost here, but that’s part of the fun as you stroll down elegant narrow streets with beautiful brownstones. When you need a break, you can always stop in at one of the many quaint eateries or cafes to soak in the atmosphere, or head to the western edge of the neighborhood to enjoy magnificent waterfront views while taking a leisurely walk in Hudson River Park.
