Great place to stay for walking distance to May's store (2 minutes) and also to the Empire State Building (5 minutes). We stayed on the 19th Floor with a city view and what a view! Has 29 Floors. Friendly staff and very helpful. Only downside was not enough elevators/lifts to service the place. That said, max wait was only about... More

My family and were there 04/18/15 through 4/22/15. We had a great time. The staff was very helpful, very courteous, and very friendly. Our room had a great view of the city, and was quite spacious, compared to other hotel rooms in the city. Very, very clean. We had such an awesome stay, and will definitely stay here again. This... I had a business trip planned for one day in NY. This hotel made it quick and easy. The people were great and helped me when I couldn't find my reservation number and the company booked my room under the wrong name.

You can't beat this location, as it is a short walking distance from Penn Station, and right near Herald Square and several subway lines. It's also very close to Macy's, Lord & Taylor and nearly any other shopping destination you could want. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. There was a problem with my cable and it was dealt... More

Recently remodeled and very nice. Room was spacious and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful. The location couldn't be better 35th and 6th Ave. Starbucks less than a block away, Duane Reed across the street, plenty of places to eat. Also there is a bar in the lobby.

Great location near Herald Square (especially if you like shopping!) with subway stops just a few feet away. Parking is around the corner, so not quite as convenient as other hotels. Breakfast buffet in the restaurant is convenient but not inexpensive. The rooms are small (not unlike many other hotel rooms in the city) but very comfortable. Staff were all... More

Even on the top floor there was a lot of noise from the streets. The elevators were very slow on the date of my checkout. Breakfast was too expensive and just average. Free coffee in the lobby was good. Internet was slow. Gym was okay.

I feel very nice for Hilton Gardon inn. Just concern for bed not safetable, please check room number 1808 two beds different effect; one more suitable; but another too soft not comfortable. In bathroom, not available shower cream, I don't like. Other everythink is going ok. The holiday location is great, I very like it.

We chose this hotel for a 2-night stay to celebrate my 50th birthday. It was an easy walk from Penn Station and located right by a bunch of subway lines, making it a breeze to get around town. Our room (2203) was relatively large and had an awesome view of the Empire State Building. The room was well-appointed and clean.... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
