I tend to shy away from generic corporate hotel chains, but loved everything about the Hilton Garden Inn. From the staff, to the in room amenities to the view from my room - this was a great property. This hotel is new, which is nice, and quiet, which is sooooo nice. I can't tell you how many times I've stayed at a $500 a night hotel and the walls are paper thin. A great find in midtown! The hotel was in the perfect location for business (barely a block from the Empire State Building) as well as a little leisure (about 12 blocks to Times Square). My company colleagues adore this hotel and I do now, too. It is near every Subway line (all major within a New Yorker-paced 10-minute walk). But my rate was just outstanding. This hotel is brand new, clean and has friendly staff. The room was small, but it's NYC... what can you expect? Nice TV, super clean and you are in walking distance of times square, great shopping, great food etc. There is an inexpensive pub near by and affordable shopping for souvenirs.
