I recently attended the NY Gift show and wanted to find a hotel that wouldn't cost me an arm and a leg yet was clean and close to the Javits Center. The 36 Hudson showed up in a search I did for Hotels and the price that popped up of only $97/night sealed the deal for me. The Hotel is... More

Took 20 16-18 year olds to the hotel and 3 staff. Cosy rooms which are supplied with all the amenities. Restaurants plentiful within 15 minutes walk. Great staff who are friendly 100% of the time. Would return for the next school trip.

The rooms are small but clean and is OK for a couple days stay. The staff is great, so friendly and helpful. This hotel has parking across the street, is right off to the right after going thru the tunnel and is close to most attractions. Love this place. We have stayed there 4 times and will be booking again... More

Was extorted for $200 after employees took liberty to enter my room and found cigarette butts in the garbage can (we were not smoking in the room , we simply refuse to throw them on the ground) we had only been there a few minutes to drop off our things and left (hardly enough time to smoke) , confronting us... Dear William B First of all, I do apologize for all unpleasant experiences you had. It's really disheartning to hear that your wedding night stay wasn't flawless with us. And, it's unfortune that you encountered a smoking issue with the staff as you described. We always inform guests a smoking policy during check-in due to a free smoking hotel and... More

Stayed here last week and I must say we could not fault it at all. The staff were excellent and they were so accommodating when we had to check a couple of things with trips that we had booked. We were also upgraded so that we could be on the same landing as our friends. Beds made everyday and fresh... More

We actually stayed Nov 2014, but apparently my review didn't make it on here. Hotel is one of the best hotels I've stayed in. It's clean and tidy. Staff is great. Our room had a nice bed and bathtub. We loved it as we don't have bathtub at home ourselves. Location is good. 15 minute walk from Times Square, but... More

Very clean but small hotel near the convention center. There are only 4 rooms per floor with a small lobby. Room were functional if small. There is a small gas station next store that catered to taxi's so transportation was not an issue. It was about a 15 minute walk to Penn station/ Subway and 25 minutes to Times Square.

We needed a room for four adults, which isn't always easy in the city. Also wanted to be near Madison Square Garden. The location was perfect, the price within our budget and so we took a chance. We found a super friendly staff and a very clean and modern room. We were really pleased with this hotel!

This hotel is now called 36 Hudson and it is definitely getting a face lift with its new owners. We found it simple, clean and the staff were very friendly. We liked its closeness to the Hudson River and to the High Line in 34th Street. It was quiet and the wifi worked OK. Unfortunately no breakfast but there are... More

We were very happy with our stay in Hudson as the location is just perfect. We reached all the tourist attractions by walk (Central Park, Times Sq, Empire State, Moma). Even the walk to Financial district wasn't that long.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
