Great hotel in a great location. Extremely friendly staff. Room was small but very clean and quiet. Bed was very comfortable. Staff was helpful in finding area restaurants. Arrived early and staff stored luggage so we could go about town. Upon return, room was waiting as well as warm cookie, and bottles of water. Great hotel!!

I can count on always being greeted with a smile by the entire staff. It starts with those working at the front desk, the bellman and those working in the restaurant. This property has really become a 'home away from home' for me.

The location was perfect. The staff was wonderful. The rooms were very nice, average size by NYC standards and very clean. If self parking, the garage is before the hotel on the opposite side of the street and not marked well but a relatively simple process.

Rooms were dingy and had a smell as my friend described "like feet". Elevators were slow and small and lobby had all the charm of a bus station. Staff was friendly and helpful - like when the key they gave me a check in didn't work. All their cheer could not make up for the fact that the "king suite"... More

I stayed at the DoubleTree for a business trip for two nights last week. The hotel is not a whole lot on the looks (lobby is very small, but no need to spend lavishly in the lobby - the rooms are what matter). Service was great. Check in was easy and the warm cookies (that's right, two of them!) were... More

All workers at this hotel make you feel special. They have great attitude at the reception, the bellboy, and concierge. The rooms are small, fitting 2 double beds and a small restroom. Prepare mentally if you are 3 or more, the room has few drawers to store your clothes.

My spouse and I stayed at the Doubletree Chelsea for one night in late November 2014. (Note that there are several Doubletree properties in NYC: this one in Chelsea, and others in the Financial District, Midtown, Midtown East, and Times Square.) We reserved our room online using the Hilton website, and we remitted HHonors points for a free award stay.... More

I normally stay at Hilton properties and I have stayed at this location before. The hotel rooms can be somewhat small for a couple with a King Size bed. Property was clean, restaurant offered good food choices...One drawback was having to share the elevators with the hotel staff.... can get crowded as they are cleaning the rooms.

The rooms and staff were wonderful and everything I have come to expect from Double Tree. The only blemish on an otherwise great stay was the breakfast buffet. Service was poor (non-existant?) and overpriced for what was offered. I would easily stay again and recommend to others. But I would skip the buffet for breakfast elsewhere.

Unfortunately we had a bad start first. we were booking a room high level with view directly in the booking system of the hotel. When we arrived they try to give us a room on low level only. We had to insist and fight very much to get the room which we have booked (in the correct price category). Finally... More

Neighborhood Profile
Chelsea
Home to hundreds of art galleries, beautiful brownstones, and one of New York’s newest and most popular attractions, Chelsea is one of the city’s jewels when it comes to neighborhood life.
