My 7th time in NY i decided to stay here! I'm so happy I did. One of the best places and best locations possible! The view from our suit was fantastic - Looking right at Freedom Tower! The staff were so friendly, welcoming and couldn't do enough for you! The hotel is about a 2 minute walk from major tube... More

This is one of those tall narrow hotels squished in between businesses. We liked that it was off the beaten path and removed from the hustle of Times Square/Theater District but also extremely convenient to the subway and an easy walk to all the sites. We got upgraded to the "penthouse" which was a little comical as it was a... More

We appreciate so much your 4 star review, RoscoDaw, and are happy we could upgrade your room. We do have new patio furniture coming in for the Penthouse units, but the good weather has preceded its arrival. We are also very happy that you found our Front Desk and Bell staff to be super helpful and friendly! Please return very... More

The Doubletree hotel Chelsea is located near the Empire State Building and Macy's Herald Square, as well as within easy reach to many famous landmarks in NY. The subway is very close to the hotel. The hotel itself is OK in standard. It is not located on the most pleasant street in NY, but it is not the worst either.... More

We were very happy with our room. It was tight but that is probably normal for NYC. The room was clean and modern. We had a view of the Empire State Building we enjoyed and was a nice surprise. The staff was very helpful with our request for a slightly earlier check-in. (Thanks for the warm chocolate chip cookies!)

The room was nice, the staff was very helpful and friendly, and as always the cookies were awesome. Overall, a great experience. The location worked well for us, a little out of the hustle and bustle, but eay to get to everyting we were interested in.

I received complaints from every guest of my 35 person party. About size of room for the price ($249 per night) and lack of refrigerators in room. Only a few of my party were given welcome bags on arrival. Most did not and we had no water in the rooms. I received serious dehydration complaints. We will not be returning.

Melanie S, we apologize so much for your group's disappointment in the service they received. We do provide welcome bags to our Hilton Honor guests, but these were never arranged for your corporate group. Like our cookies, we never say no if one of our guests requests an extra cookie or water, and on behalf of our entire team and... More

Upon our arrival, one of the two tiny elevators was out of order. This caused quite a bit of extra waiting time. We used the new Hilton App for iPhone to check-in a day ahead. The app claims to allow you to choose your room. This function did not work as we were given the room that they had originally... More

This hotel has two small elevators to service 26 floors. One of the two was out for "maintenance" for my two night stay. Hotel did nothing to expedite repairs. Tough luck for guests who either waited for 30 minutes in the lobby or took the stairs.

Louis H, We are so sorry that the elevator work that was being done during your stay was inconvenient and we truly do wish it had not taken so long for this necessary work to be done. We are happy to report that the work was completed and inspected and both elevators have new components that should keep them in... More

Chelsea
Home to hundreds of art galleries, beautiful brownstones, and one of New York’s newest and most popular attractions, Chelsea is one of the city’s jewels when it comes to neighborhood life.
