My family and I recently spent 18 nights in the Mocha Suite at Mount Morris House in East Harlem. It was fantastic in every way. The building is a beautifully renovated brownstone and the detail in our room was amazing. A truly beautiful spacious room, very comfortable beds, lovely bathroom and very very quiet. Always so cosy and warm. Plus... More

Mount Morris House exceeded our expetitions. It is a sympathetically renovated brown stone, which, upon entering, you feel that you have entered a peaceful sanctuary in the city that never sleeps. We were extremely surprised at the peace and quiet of Mount Morris area, and at night we could sleep even with the windows open. The house is not a... More

Mount Morris House is a lovely home in a great location which is only ten minutes from downtown by subway. The rooms and amenities are terrific, though there is no lift. That's only a minor inconvenience, more than made up for by the enjoyment of staying in this historic house. Although the house is called a B&B, breakfast is not... More

This is a perfect place for any traveller to stay in NY: genuine, historical and friendly atmosphere. We stayed for a week with our two teenagers in a suite. Beats any down-town hotel! Much more cosy and closer to the real city. Also: just a few minutes walk from Central Park...Thanks Vasili for great hospitality!

Wow what a special find this was for our most recent stay in New York. Mount Morris House and the genuine welcome extended to us by Vasili made our stay a wonderful experience. In my many trips to New York I have always stayed in traditional hotels and had always dreamt of staying in a brownstone.....and this brownstone was the... More

There is a reason why Mount Morris House is considered #4 here for B&Bs in New York. Dimitri did an amazing job in decorating the whole place. Our room was more than enough space with two people. We felt that we were living in a dream, especially since the price was so affordable. We were a little concerned with it... More

We knew what to expect from the pictures, what we didn't expect was the warmth and friendliness we got from Vasili. Every restaurant that was recommended in Harlem we loved, thoroughly enjoyed the Apollo theatre amateur night show, loved the house and the rooms and the beds, clean and comfortable cant fault a thing!!! I recommend this house to all.

I've just returned from NY staying at Mount Morris House for six glorious nights. Wish I had another six nights. I've been to this city many times and Mount Morris House is the best NY accommodation I've ever stayed in! It's a huge brown stone in Harlem that's just beautiful. Lovingly restored by the owners for 20 years - I... More

The most fantastic place to stay in New York, perfect and the hosts are perfect too. Felt very special and felt like the REAL New York, brown stone building great architecture and furnishings. Right on the doorstep of Harlem but a few minutes from the underground, taxis not too expensive well worth staying here rather than the city centre.

Fantastic place in an excellent location. I'd highly recommend this spacious, hospitable house to anyone staying in New York. Handy for metro, buses, restaurants etc. Vasili and Dimitri's hospitality is both warm and welcoming. We would return in a heartbeat.
