My partner and I stayed at Mount Morris House before Christmas and our experience was excellent. We were warmly welcomed by the hosts on our arrival and we were then taken to the room. Our room was very spacious, clean and beautifully decorated. Our bed was really comfortable and we had a very good quality sleep every night. The location... More

What a wonderful experience! The beautifully decorated and well maintained house is immaculate, quiet and very comfortable. Rooms are very spacious, with modern facilities yet with old world charm fitting nicely in a vibrant and eclectic community. Our family enjoyed meeting Dimitri, the proprietor, who is an extremely caring, attentive and meticulous gentleman. He made our stay very pleasant. The... More

This is my second time in this beautiful house and there's a reason. Stay here is like to stay at home when you come back after a long day working. The beautiful open space rooms are perfectly comfortable and you can leave the house as your own space. You can have some of the best cakes in the morning and... More

We arrived late however our host was more than gracious! He carried our luggage up the long staircase to our room. And what a room! We felt that we had been transported back 100 years. The entire house is beautifully decorated, we could have spent a day exploring. My granddaughter was thrilled to have fruit, cookies and cake for breakfast... More

We just came home from a long weekend in NYC. We were not sure about the area where Mount Morris House was located. The area is good and the Mount Morris House was great value. We took the subway to and from the downtown and walked around the neighbourhood during the day and evening. There are a few restaurants and... More

Room was outstanding, comfy beds, very clean, it was nice to hang out and have breakfast in the morning, relax then set out to explore. Just a few blocks from Central Park, nice neighborhood. A ten minute taxi to time square. Would tell my friends and family to stay. Hope to visit again soon.

This was our first experience staying in a hosted home. After researching for weeks, we were elated with our choice! The Home alone is gorgeous, an experience in itself! It was furnished so beautiflly, yet comfortable and VERY CLEAN! The beds were luxurious (pressed linens)... too many "extra touches" to mention! We had the convenience of the subway & bus... More

Safe, friendly, clean and spacious room for 3 friends. Close to the subways. All the restaurants we tried in the area were fabulous. Dimitri was very helpful. The people who we met in Harlem were some of the most helpful, Anytime we need directions or something there was a person willing to assist.

Harlem
As a hub of African American culture, Harlem has played a vital role in the history of New York City. Today, the neighborhood is as vibrant as ever as new businesses and developments go up next to local institutions. The heart of the neighborhood is bustling 125th Street, where street vendors and historic landmarks like the Apollo Theater mingle with big-name stores.
