Myself and my fiancé stayed here Saturday-Monday. The innkeeper was VERY accomodating. We originally planned to check in 3pm on Saturday however, we arrived some hours before check in and the Innkeeper graciously welcomed us early. It is a private residence, neat, clean, cozy and comfortable. The continental breakfast was different each morning and was a combination of fresh danishes and a... More

We stayed at this B&B as, honestly, it was cheaper than staying in Midtown Manhattan. It was good value for money, with a continental breakfast each morning. Linen was changed every 3 days. The Innkeeper was very helpful and did everything we asked. The only criticism is that it could be doing with being updated a bit - decor was needing... More

Its a beautiful private home. Rooms are comfortable but bathroom is shared. But that didnt cause any trouble. It was clean and well kept. Inn is next door to the Subway. So its very easy to go downtown, a mere 20 mins train ride. Breakfast is great with a good mix of artisan bread, cereal and fruits. The only thing... More

Had to give this five stars. Even though it's not luxury accommodation the St Nicholas Inn is really good value for money. Everything is perfectly clean and very comfortable, including importantly the beds. The continental style breakfast was great, with very good bread and fresh fruit. The innkeeper and staff couldn't be friendlier or more helpful. A subway stop is... More

Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The room was beautiful - very comfortable and spacious. Located right next to the subway, a convenient fifteen or twenty minutes from the middle of Manhattan. Thank you for a fantastic stay!

New York is an amazing city. And stay at Saint Nicholas Inn, is too. Best: the helpful, friendly, always willing to help people. The delicious breakfasts and exchange of experiences that occur spontaneously among guests, makes the trip magnificently different. It is not a hotel, it is a home to you some day sums ... Thanks for everything! We hope... More

Neighborhood Profile
Harlem
As a hub of African American culture, Harlem has played a vital role in the history of New York City. Today, the neighborhood is as vibrant as ever as new businesses and developments go up next to local institutions. The heart of the neighborhood is bustling 125th Street, where street vendors and historic landmarks like the Apollo Theater mingle with big-name stores. Turn down almost any corner, and you’ll discover some of the most beautiful blocks in the city, filled with handsome brownstones, soul food restaurants, corner shops, and scenic parks. For a taste of a real New York neighborhood, it’s hard to top a visit to Harlem.
