We just returned from NYC and our stay at The Ace Hotel. My kids (ages 12 and 14) thought it was the best place they had been too. My daughter is very artistic and she loved the character of the lobby and the hotel room. She could not believe that such a place existed. The room included an amazing view... More

The lobby is always noisy with music and lots of goings-on, adjoining the lounge and pub as it does. Each room has a guitar (which was not only in good condition but in tune!), and the decor is rock/pop themed - e.g. etched into the marble stairs as you walk up from the basement toilets to the lobby lounge is... The only thing I could say that ruined my weekend with my fiance was freaking JET BLUE. They kept us waiting in Buffalo for a 1pm flight until 10:30 at night then again yesterday flying back to Buffalo...another delayed flight...the airline truly sucks. Now about ACE...we didn't arrive until 1:30am and the staff was there with opened arms...anything to help... More

A quirky, unusual hotel. The rooms are small, but this is New York. We had the bunk beds and the stairs to the top bunk were very uncomfortable on bare feet (metal bars). There was nowhere to store clothes, just a couple of hangars on a hook. But it was workable. The shower was nice, although the water did not... More

I loved this hotel. The aesthetic was right up my alley. It's like a trendy men's barber shop. I was traveling alone so I booked the 'mini' room, which was plenty large for me with a double (queen?) bed with luxurious bedding, great amenities, and a nice view. This place had everything I wanted, including Hendricks in the mini bar.

This hotel is really great, the rooms are lovely, compact but feel cozy. It has a great vibe in each room. The bar is very crowded downstairs which creates a lively scene, but a little daunting if you are single traveling looking for a place to grab a drink and watch tv - no TVs in the bar. Room service... More

Stayed for 5 nights, Very dark lobby and due to free wi fi you can never get a seat, staff very friendly, we had a basic room with a view of the Empire State Building very small and no wardrobe or drawers to speak off so unable to unpack just a small hanging hook with a couple of hangers, bedroom... Stayed here when NYC had a 2 day mini heat wave I loved it wife not so much, for me clean room tho small, comfy bed only downer was the air con unit placed behind the headboard sounded like a truck ticking-over in the street 4 floors down, as most people have said lobby is dark and you can't get... Stayed for 2 nights. Staffs were super friendly. Everyday I would went to the reception for direction and they were always very friendly to help. As well, they also shared some of their personal favorite places to go which was awesome. Got overnight laundry service done without knowing there's an extra fee...but they agreed to remove the extra fee without... More

I love this hotel. It feels like NY. Not Iot Iowa..but with cool, hearty details of an Working Americana. Wrought Iron, Subway tiles, soap on a rope, wool blankets, turn tables, flask shaped water bottles..Love it all. Always easy to catch a cab from there too! Thank you Ace Hotel. PS. Having the Breslin Restaurant, good shops and a fun... More
