Just arrived back from a wonderful touring holiday in the USA. Our journey started with four nights in New York City where we stayed in the most delightful B&B. This was our third trip to NY and I wanted to stay somewhere a bit different. Somewhere personal. Somewhere that made us feel like we weren’t just another room number. We... More

We stayed at The Inn on 23rd, for 2 nights, mid - July. The price was comparable to any hotel, but the atmosphere was way above "hotel". We paid $239 per night, it was well worth the price. Breakfast consists of baked goods, bagels, cereal, fresh fruit, yogurt. tea, coffee, orange juice, and milk. The honor bar was great after... More

We stayed here for 4 nights 7th to 11th June and loved it. Ours was the Grille Room and was comfortable with everything we needed. Great breakfast, served in the homely library complete with freshly cooked muffins and bagels. Honesty bar was very good value ($1 for a soda and $15 for a decent bottle of wine)The complemetary cheese and... More

This is an excellent value. The rooms are nicely appointed, quiet and comfortable. Compared with hotel prices, this B&B really is an extraordinary find. The subway and PATH train to New Jersey are nearby. The neighborhood is a little edgy; the church next door allows homeless people to sleep there so the front of the B&B is a panhandler area,... This bed and breakfast is a real find. For the price of a cube in an anonymous high-rise hotel, you will have a huge (at least by New York city hotel standards) room, Turkish bath towels, high-end bathroom amenities, and best of all, a daily breakfast in the lovely library. This room is also great for relaxing and just winding... More

The Inn on 23rd was a true gem. At only $210/night in the heart of the city, it is a bargain. The rooms are plenty big with sitting areas and queen beds. Room 53 has very modern furniture (steel, black and reds), which our friends loved. We prefered our room (52) with its comfy, padded arm chairs and muted furnishing... More

We stayed at the Inn on 23rd for my 30th birthday in March 2006. The Inn is conveniently located - we walked and metroed everywhere - very safe and convenient and close to subways. Very close to midtown and very close to the Village...perfect location - loads of restaurants, etc as well. The staff was very friendly, helpful and conscientious,... More

What a fantastic place. From the moment my wife and I arrived for our first trip to New York, to the time we checked out 4 days later we had a great time. The Inn is a little oasis away from the hustle and bustle of NYC. Our room (The Maritime) was comfortable, and cosy. The breakfasts had all we... More

We just returned from a 3-night stay at the Inn on 23rd. We absolutely loved the central Chelsea location -- we walked to nearly everything, but there are two subway lines close by, as well as buses going uptown and downtown. We were given an upgrade to a huge room with King-sized canopy bed, loads of closet space and lovely... More

Neighborhood Profile
Chelsea
Home to hundreds of art galleries, beautiful brownstones, and one of New York’s newest and most popular attractions, Chelsea is one of the city’s jewels when it comes to neighborhood life. As a longtime hub of gay culture in New York City, it’s also a diverse district with a vibrant nightlife scene. The opening of the High Line, an abandoned elevated train track transformed into a world-class pedestrian park, gave this neighborhood new life as a tourist destination.
