I found it a bit down on its heals. As well, you cannot reserve a particular room and while you may think you have reserved one you like, you can arrive and have another and it doesn't matter if it suits you or not. The room shuddered when the subway went by, there was no window to look out (just... More

Echoing recent posts, the Chelsea location between 6th and 7th Avenues is convenient to major subway lines and an easy walk or short cab ride from Penn Station. Thoughtful staff - especially Thomas! - and nicely appointed rooms make this a good choice if you're tired of hotels. Across/up the street is a fabulous market/deli/salad bar called Garden of Eden... My spouse and adult daughter spent 3 nights at the Inn the weekend after New Year's (we've stayed at the perhaps 4 or 5 other occasions over the last several years). The Chelsea location between 6th and 7th Avenues is convenient to major subway lines and an acceptable walk or fast cab ride from Penn Station. The Inn is hardly... More

Our recent stay at the Inn on 23rd found it to be a lovely property in the midst of the conrete jungle. Our room, the Quilt Room, was very attractive with an Americana theme. It was exceptionally clean, well-appointed with a homey feeling. The Inn overall is great, and you can't help but feel safe and secure here. Wonderful bed... More

I've visited this neighborhood for over 20 years and I've tried most of the hotels in the area soon after they opened. Chain hotels, high rises, suite hotels... but this was my first visit to the Inn on 23rd and it's by far the best. I arrived to a personal welcome, and from then on the staff made every effort... Warm, cosy, clean and comfortable, I would recommend this B&B to anyone.Furnished with eclectic antiques, it is full of character and a refreshing change from bland hotel chains. Ideally situated in Chelsea and close to the subway. Good bar restaurant on the ground floor. A warm, friendly welcome from the very helpful staff. More

We love coming to NY and staying at this beautiful, cozy and friendly Inn. Every room is decorated differently, and we plan to stay in them all. The staff treats everyone like family and makes great recommendations for various attractions and things to do. It is also well located near subway stops to get anywhere in a matter of minutes.... We enjoyed the Inn so much last year, we stayed again. All previous plus qualities still there - friendly & helpful staff, comfortable rooms (Victoria this time, lived up to the expectations). These rooms at the rear are so quiet, great sleeping in otherwise noisy NY! The Bistro at ground floor is very pleasant for casual meal or snack, or... More

What a find! The price was right, and worth every penny. The Inn is impeccably clean. Each room in the Inn has a theme, and we stayed in the Quilt room. It was cozy and had all the amenities we needed. A full continental breakfast is included in the charming and beautifully decorated library. Will return! More

Stayed for two nights and had a really lovely time. Homey, warm and welcome. Love the library/dining area. My 8 year old son adored Dorothy the Inn cat. Comfortable beds. Nice size rooms. Good location. Look forward to returning and staying longer next time. More
