I have stayed at The Inn on 23rd close to a dozen times over the past several years, and every visit has been superb. I travel to New York City at least two times a year and always check availability of a room there before I make any other travel arrangements. As The Inn has a small number of rooms... More

Dear jacquelynnm2014, What wonderful and kind words, thank you! As you know, we take pride in our return guests and their extensive knowledge of The Inn. It has been a pleasure having you here each time and it is too bad we could not accommodate you for your most recent trip. Hopefully another time! Thank you again for providing both... More

I loved staying at the Inn on 23rd (apparently enough to sign up and write a review!) I don't even know where to start. I stayed for one night in the Rosewood room with my roommate and it was perfect (I'm from the city but we were renting out our apartment for that night). The lady at the front desk... More

So it's probably my fault but. Having never stayed in a bed and breakfast before and having booked this on line I was surprised when I arrived and no one was there. I was attempting to get a key out of the lock box when the bar tender next door let me in. I got in and got my key... More

We enjoyed our stay at the Inn on 23rd. Our room was spacious and comfortable (lots of natural light), the staff was helpful and friendly (they did a great job quickly resolving a minor issue with our room), and we were close to everything that we wanted to do in NYC. They also have museum passes to save you some... More

Dear TJ L, Thank you for your kind words! We enjoyed having you two here as well and you always brightened the room with a smile each morning. We're also happy to hear that you liked The Loft Room and museum passes. Thank you for that positive feedback. We hope to see you again in the future! Warm Regards, Inn... More

Stayed 4 nights in October 2014. We arrived on a Saturday night just in time for the complimentary wine and cheese in the lovely library/ dining room. The wine was excellent. The team is very friendly and helpful, offering tips on the best sights etc. They seem genuinely interested in their guests. There was no fridge in our room but... More

Dear nakedmolerat 1974, Thank you for your kind words and positive feedback. We're so happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us (along with the wine & cheese!) You're completely right that all of our staff hold a genuine interest in our guests, it's what makes us The Inn on 23rd and not The Hotel on 23rd. We... More

Stayed hear for six nights later September 2014. Thankfully the weather was not to hot or cold as you could not run the a/c due to the noise it made. Management should invest in a few new quite systems. This was the major fault. Generally the staff were great and the library dining area good for evening drinks and breakfast.... More

Long weekend in ny. This is a great location and the rooms are spacious (suites) and staff friendly. They serve a simple breakfast. We were museum members at MOMA and MET so didn't need free passes which they can provide. They leave a $3 a glass honor payment wine out and serve cheese in afternoon- both nice touches. Speedy free... More

We spent 4 nights at this Inn, and have nothing but positive things to say. We stayed on the 5th floor at the back, and it was very quiet and private. The morning breakfast and coffee in the common room was perfect to start out the day, and the subway is just a block or two away. We never took... More

Staying in Chelsea

Neighborhood Profile
Chelsea
Home to hundreds of art galleries, beautiful brownstones, and one of New York’s newest and most popular attractions, Chelsea is one of the city’s jewels when it comes to neighborhood life. The contemporary art scene is an integral part of the neighborhood’s identity, with gallery openings almost every night of the week and countless exhibits to explore. As a longtime hub of gay culture in New York City, it’s also a diverse district with a vibrant nightlife scene. The opening of the High Line, an abandoned elevated train track transformed into a world-class pedestrian park, gave this neighborhood new life as a tourist destination. The High Line provides visitors with a tranquil, elevated space with incomparable views, providing an unparalleled way to experience the city.
