We stayed here as part of an anniversary and birthday trip for 6 nights in July. We had advised that it was a special trip at the time of our booking, therefore we were lucky to find ourselves on the top floor of the hotel, on floor 20! Although we did not have views of the ESB, we had amazing... More

Stayed here 2 nights 13-14 July 2015. Location was great. Front desk and greet staff were top grade, very friendly and helpful. Enjoyed our stay, dined at the Bistro then up to Top of The Strand for evening drinks and tapas. Views of the Empire State Building fantastic. Great photos. Would definitely stay here again and for longer next time.... More

Well, stopped here 5 nites at the beginning of July, check in quick, good sized room but problem with aircon.greatfully moved to a new room next day. Rooftop bar well impressive, G & T with an Empire State view, so no complaints and must say better than Morgans around the corner as small hotels go.Keep up the good product thanks.

Spent July 4th weekend in Manhattan to visit our Daughter and get some shopping done! We stayed at the Strand and it was just perfect! 2 Blocks from Macys, 2 blocks from Lord and Taylor and just a short walk to Bryant Park. We were lucky enough to get a room with a view of the Empire State Building. The... More

We just returned from a 3 night stay at the Strand Hotel in NYC. Room was a decent size for NY. Nicely appointed. Convenient location to subway and theatre district and restaurants. Bed was very comfortable and the room was very clean. We never heard any outside noise. I would definitely stay here again and would certainly recommend it.

Stayed five nights with family friends. Hotel staff very friendly but some serving staff a bit Monday morning, not really wanting to be there. Greg the bell leader was fantastic and sorted out our day and any queries, directions that we required. Drinking and eating is expensive but it is the big city. Worth a stay..we would go back

I liked this hotel. The rooftop bar was pretty cool, especially at night. The room was decked out to a high standard, as was the whole hotel in fact. I found the staff helpful and friendly. I had a good deal, complete with credit for the bar and restaurant, so it worked worked out well for me. It would have... More

This hotel cost over €2k for 1 week- not worth it, but this is NYC, and glad we weren't paying as this was a business trip. It was relatively clean, rooms are small but comfortable, nice toiletries from Fragonard and good bed linen. Overall, the hotel has a nice boutique feel to it. Good rooftop bar, good breakfast area and... More

This a terrific place to stay. The staff is friendly and attentive, the rooms are great and the rooftop bar is a really nice way to end the day. The location's wonderful; it's within easy walking distance of the Broadway theaters and Bryant Park. The neighborhood's quiet as well.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
