My friend and I got an AIRBNB when we arrived in New York. The place ended up being very disgusting and we were not comfortable staying at the place. It was late at night, we were all night looking for a place for the week and everything was either booked or too late to check us in. I ended up... More

With three children under 10 experiencing New York for the first time, a heritage building in Harlem with friendly staff and groovy abode, what more could we want. The room was compact and quirky - but hey it is NYC. However it had EVERYTHING we could have needed. Beds for all - including a cool loft bed the kids used... More

Michelle and Ira greeted us right when we walked in. They talked to us about any and all questions we had including how safe the neighborhood is and best ways to get around town. The rooms were really nice (we stayed in 3 different rooms) and bigger than I had expected considering everyone kept telling me how tiny rooms in... More

I had a fantastic experience staying here. As soon as you walk in, you quickly realise why they have called it "cozy" - probably the best word to describe it. Our room was perfect for what we needed with a nice big bed and smart living area. It was clean, tidy and warm which was great considering how cold it... More

I expected more from this inn. The remaining experience within the city has compensated the wretechedness of the attendance. The rooms and accomodations were however acceptable, but nothing exceptional. If shall I return to NYC, I would definitely search for another facilities

As soon as you walk in the cozy inn you get a good feeling. It was nice to see all of the pictures of the guests and some famous faces on the wall. I stayed adjacent to the room JayZ did his first video in...bragging points to my friends back home :) The owner shared some stories about the building... More

I booked the International Cozy Inn through Expedia. This was a great choice. The Inn Keeper was very helpful and nice, and provided extra linen upon request. The owner was never too busy for a chat. The room I stayed in was perfectly planned out and all of the ammenities in the room were true to the description, even the... More

Staying in Harlem

Neighborhood Profile
Harlem
As a hub of African American culture, Harlem has played a vital role in the history of New York City. Today, the neighborhood is as vibrant as ever as new businesses and developments go up next to local institutions. The heart of the neighborhood is bustling 125th Street, where street vendors and historic landmarks like the Apollo Theater mingle with big-name stores. Turn down almost any corner, and you’ll discover some of the most beautiful blocks in the city, filled with handsome brownstones, soul food restaurants, corner shops, and scenic parks. For a taste of a real New York neighborhood, it’s hard to top a visit to Harlem.
