I'm a single mom that travels to New York representing my company. For many years I have used commercial hotels in Midtown New York and never considered venturing uptown to Harlem. After reading many of the great reviews and speaking to a couple of friends that actually stayed in Harlem I decided to give it a try.....After all, midtown where... More

I had visited the place as a couple after reading the reviews. I was thinking of a long term stay for 2 weeks or so, but after staying there for 2-3 days I changed my mind & moved to mid-town. I believe this basically summarized the entire review...but do read further. Michelle was most polite, helpful & accommodating. Ramona on... More

Our family stayed at Michelle and Ramona's Inn recently. We loved the experience of Harlem and never felt anything but totally safe even coming back to the Inn at nighttime. Our room at the Inn was very compact which I gather is quite normal for New York but it had everything we needed and was spotlessly clean. We dealt with... More

I was there in October 2013 and it was very glad to choose this places to lodge. The location, the room, cost, the attention is excellent. And also is very close to The Rooster. Michelle and Ramona are very friendly and cozy, totally agree with the name. 100% recommended.

We stayed here for 6 nights. There was no service / 'interference' from the staff unless you sought it by using the chalk-board or ringing the bell. Yes, the booking emails do identify the house rules, which are provided for the benefit of all and it is clear that full cash payment including a returnable bond, are required upon arrival.... More

Securing an affordable and conveniently located place to stay in NYC for three people who each need our own bed was a challenge. ICI provided the perfect venue. The rooms were spacious by NY standards, clean and comfortable. We had to change rooms mid-stay due to construction, but they took care of moving all our luggage - and purchases to... More

We spent six nights at the ICI. It felt like staying at someone's home - which was nice. That means of course you don't have the cookie-cutter hotel experience. So there was good and not as good. To begin, we thought our rooms were very nice. They have been working on a few rooms there so we started with one... More

We booked this place based on the reviews on tripadvisor and the information on their website. They react quick by email but the emails were very long and complicated: much text and (house)rules. The price is good, but we rate it average because of the fact we didn't see any staff around when we were there, except for the times... More

This year my boyfriend and I were staying for the second time in the ICI. We were very pleased during our first visit to NY, so when we got back to town we stayed in the same place again. A rare place, super clean and cozy. The room we booked has a mini kitchen, so we could do late night... More
