I booked this at the last minute and got a great deal. The hotel looked okay online as did the location. The location ended up being fantastic, right off of Herald Square and the subway. The staff was incredibly nice and extremely helpful. The room was very small but beautiful. Great breakfast. Nice gym. I would definitely stay again.

We like to take the LIRR into the city, see a show and stay overnight. The hotel is about 3 blocks from Penn Station. Perfect. Theater in walking distance. Perfect. Checkin was smooth and the front desk staff seemed helpful. We chose a room on the 17th floor with a view of the action below. Forget seeing the Empire State... More

We were not sure reading others reviews of this hotel but decided to take a chance since it seemed like a nice hotel and we have never had a bad experience at a Hampton Inn and boy was it well worth it. From the minute we walked in the door until we checked out this Hampton Inn did not disappoint... More

Great value, comfortable beds, clean rooms, courteous staff with added perk of a free breakfast with choices to please everyone. Excellent location. A subway stop is 3 doors away, close to the 34th St. Macy's and walkable to theaters and Times Square.

This is actually the first time I have felt compelled to write a review. I got to this hotel yesterday and first of all it was hard to find - hidden behind the Hilton Garden Inn. The service was not very friendly at check in. My "view of the empire state building" was great if I crane my neck. I... More

We loved it, will definitely stay here again. Linens were SO comfortable, rooms are small but comfortable. I did miss the mini-bar, not for the selection but to keep my bottled water cold. Surely, they could fit it somewhere. The location was excellent, taxi's abundant, and LOTS of shopping in the walking distance.

Located at metro stop a block from Empire State Bldg, few mins from Times Sq, Macys. Not too far to walk from OPenn station as we had taken the train from Newark airport. Lifts were slow (one of two was out of order but there were stairs). I would recommend a lower floor if you don't want to wait. However... More

Am staying at Hampton Inn last couple of days, worse hotel in regards to getting from lobby to room and visa versa. Two elevators however only one is working, the other has not worked since I checked in. Took so long getting to the lobby, even from the 8th floor took forever. They have a sign apologizing, but I want... More

Hotel was great location. Wonderful breakfast. The staff was helpful any time we had a question; and, they were very nice. The staff always seemed to want to help if they could. I would take my family back.

Located right by subway stop a block from Macy's and other shops, we had a high floor I would recommend a lower floor if you plan on leaving first thing in the owning or checking in at check in time because the elevators take a long time due to heavy traffic. Great breakfast in the morning and clean comfortable rooms.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
