Booked this hotel many months ago, so we had a good rate for NYC. Chose it for the location, which is in the middle of everything we wanted to do. Found it to be clean and quiet. We were on the 17th floor and did not have any problems with slow elevators as some people have mentioned. The breakfast was... More

Great trip. The hotel was awesome. Clean, friendly staff. I was happy that the free breakfast was your choice of hot or cold. Very very nice place to stay. Great location right in the middle of everything.

This hotel is in a great location, near Penn Station, multiple subway lines, and Herald Square. Our king room was comfortable and surprisingly large although it was quite possibly the worst possible location within the hotel (second floor, facing the front of the building, right beside the elevator and ice machine). Before unpacking, we tried (unsuccessfully) to be placed in... More

The Hampton Inn on 35th west is the perfect place to stay in New York. The position is simply great, few hundred feet from the Empire State Building, from Fifth Avenue and from Macy's. It is also great for whom is attending a show at the Javits centre. The rate is moderate, the rooms are confortable although would need some... More

I made my reservation on the last minute. I've stayed at NYC for a week. The hotel location is at the center of everything, and yet, not to noisy. Broadway is just across the street and the Empire State is at a 5 minutes walk distance. The staff was very nice and helpful, the room was nice, clean and comfy. Price... More

This hotel was clean and everybody was extremely helpful, especially the cleaning ladies who went out of their way to get everything we needed. It was really close to Times Square and the empire State Building. The Front Desk help was very helpful in securing taxi cabs for us.

This hotel had an amazing location. Right in the middle of all the action and very close to the subway. Hot breakfast was a big $ saver! Room was clean and beds were comfortable. Would definitely stay again!

If you have some value things, please do not leave in the room. Someone might go into your room and take them away. The staff's attitude is not good. She thinks it is a JOB. By the way, the location is very very great~~~~

I stayed at the hotel for 1 week in May. Arrival at the Hotel was manic as we arrived at 11pm on Saturday night and the pavement and patio area was awash with Trash bags. However by Sunday morning this was all gone and the patio was clear and welcoming. In fact it became a pleasure to be able to... More

When I first arrived the Reception was busy with guests and I needed to use the bathroom, I asked where it was, I was waived towards the back, to which I walked, and finding nothing I came back and asked again. This time the same Receptionist said it's downstairs. So for my second try, I walk downstairs - through a... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
