Am staying at Hampton Inn last couple of days, worse hotel in regards to getting from lobby to room and visa versa. Two elevators however only one is working, the other has not worked since I checked in. Took so long getting to the lobby, even from the 8th floor took forever. They have a sign apologizing, but I want... More

Hotel was great location. Wonderful breakfast. The staff was helpful any time we had a question; and, they were very nice. The staff always seemed to want to help if they could. I would take my family back.

Located right by subway stop a block from Macy's and other shops, we had a high floor I would recommend a lower floor if you plan on leaving first thing in the owning or checking in at check in time because the elevators take a long time due to heavy traffic. Great breakfast in the morning and clean comfortable rooms.

Walking distance to the ESB. Very easy check in and out, nice room for NYC. A little far from Penn Station to travel with luggage but just a quick cab ride away. TV was the only complaint I have-- our remote did not work well and the channel selection was really poor.

Staff were very friendly, accommodating and helpful. Would definitely stay at this hotel again. Location is great - within walking distance to Times Square - and free wifi and complimentary breakfast is a bonus!!!

First time in NYC and hotel was a good choice, located within walking distance of many 'attractions'. Arrived just in time for breakfast and room was made available once we had eaten. Although a little dated the room was adequate for our 3-night stay. All staff were helpful and friendly. Breakfast was a good start to the day with plenty... More

I spent 6 nights here with my mum and it was the perfect location for a lot of sights in walking distance with a subway station 3 doors down for those further afield. Located between 5th avenue and 6th avenue of the Americas (right near macy's and a walk to times square). Staff were welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was limited... More

The Hampton Inn on 35th Street (Empire State Building) is located in a terrific location, between 5th Avenue and Avenue of the Americas. A short walk from all major attractions & shopping. Even more important than the fantastic location is the staff at the hotel. They are kind, helpful, polite, professional and many other complimentary adjectives!! We found everyone working there... I stayed there this past weekend and I can clearly say that the hotel location was almost perfect! The hotel is directly connected to Harold Square and only feet away from the Subway Station. The hotel staff was absolutely phenomenal and very accommodating and especially Jason and Maria. The breakfast was pretty good with plenty of options to choose from.... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
