Clean hotel with a good breakfast. Be early in the morning because it gets crowded. Only a block from one of the main subway terminals. Close enough to Broadway shows to walk. I would definitely stay here again.

Our first time to NYC and this hotel in downtown was great for our family! You were steps from the subway and the breakfast was excellent, saved us time, and money! The rooms are very tiny but nicely done and we were hardly in our rooms. Our room was on the second floor so not much of a view but... More

I stayed here for two nights at the end of our 3 weeks US trip. The location is fantastic - just a few meters away from Macys, H&M and a 5-7 mins walk from Times Square. The staff was fantastic especially the lady at the front desk Ms Daymar who was outstanding. She was always smiling and went out of... More

Hotel has nicely appointed rooms. Located right around the corner from Empire State Bldg. Great breakfast, vast selection of hot and cold items. We stayed for a weekend and one of the elevators was out of order the whole time. Hotel staff were all very courteous.

My daughter, grandson, and I just returned home from a weekend of sightseeing in Manhattan, The staff here was fantastic. Especially the lady at the concierge desk. Unfortunately, I never got her name, She is an enormous asset to the hotel. She helped us navigate the, very confusing, subway system. I really can't tell you how much that meant to... More

We arrived earlier than the check in time of 3 pm so a room wasn't ready for us yet, but the check-in girl tagged our baggage to be held in an area in the back while we left the hotel premises to kill time until our room was ready. It was very convenient that we were able to keep our... More

Great location within yards of Macy's on Broadway and only a hundred from Fifth Ave shopping & the empire state building; a short stroll from Times Square. Parking is only 37,50 a night. So far so good. However - and these would normally only be minor complaints but at $300 a night you expect more... There are only 2 elevators... More

I was in NYC on business and needed a place that was convenient to transportation, restaurants, and my clients. This was definitely the place for all off that and more. The front desk staff was extremely friendly and check in was fast. The rooms are small ... but it is NYC. The bed was sooooo comfortable and the AC was... More

I have stayed at Hampton Inn - Empire State numerous times now. Can't beat the location and the staff. I have also have found it to have a better price when compared to other Manhattan hotels. Will stay there again when in NYC.

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
