On average, I travel to NY 6-8 times a year, nearly always for business. I have been doing so for 25 years. I work for a cost-conscious company that is focusing its financial resources on product development. We have generally given up staying at the hotels north of Grand Central as they have become prohibitive. I found this property to... More

Conveniently located, comfortable hotel in midtown. Pleasant and helpful staff, good breakfast and quiet for a good night's sleep after a long day. Only issue is the elevators are a bit slow so while most of NYC is hustle and bustle be prepared to slow down and catch your breath while you wait for an elevator. Overall really enjoyed our... More

We moved into this hotel out of dislike for Pod 39. The location of Hampton is good, the beds were very good, the reception staff was helpful. The room was really clean. Staff was invariably nice and helpful. We encountered the following problems: the two elevators are indeed insufficient; the first few days we were given a noisy room (an... More

This trip was only a two day one which was unfortunate as the stay was excellent. I have stayed in ny several times and always knew what to expect so wasnt expecting much to be honest but the hampton inn surprised me. Checkin was fast and friendly and we were placed in room 1907 at te back. The room was... More

Be warned, if you frequent Hampton Inns as I do, do not expect the same level of service, comfort or quality here. Let me start by saying that I've probably stayed at over 25 Hampton Inns across the country and am an active Hilton Honors member, so I have nothing against the chain at all. I'll also preface this by... More

Nice bed - small room but absolutely perfect for me. Was able to get on Wifi - A little slow but perfect for email which is all I needed. The bed was absolutely awesome. Bathroom was adequate. Good place to stay in a perfect location. Literally 1/2 mile from time square.

The good news is that this hotel is very convenient to many midtown destinations and to the subway. You can walk to almost anything in midtown in 15 minutes or less. The rooms are also very nice while being smaller than average like most NYC rooms. The challenge is that this was one of the loudest Hilton family hotels that... More

The staff at this hotel was very friendly and helpful with information and services. They offer free breakfast reduced parking rate at a nearby parking garage. The rooms were very clean and the beds and betting were very comfortable. The gave me a room upgrade as a Hilton Honors member and of course you can double dip hotel and airline... More

Hotel is in a great midtown location and the rooms are clean, modern and fine. The elevators, on the other hand, had lines in front of them all morning with a ten minute wait to go to or from your room.

I had a fine experience at this hotel. Located just a few steps from the 34th St. Herald Square station and I could see Macy's from my window. Breakfast is standard Hampton Inn fare which is very good. Really appreciated the in-room safe, a rarity at Hampton Inns. Only complaint is the elevators are not for those faint of heart.... More
