Nestled between 8th and 9th avenues on 36th street this hotel is perfectly situated only a 10 minute walk from the Javits Convention Center in New York City. My wife and I had a corner room with king bed which was compact, as expected in NYC. It included a small fridge, compact desk area and a bathroom with shower. The... More

This was my 3rd trip staying at the Doubletree Times Square NYC. Starting with Connie, who got me in my room so much earlier because of my broken arm. She arranged for my ice pack to be frozen, and called me later in the day to check on me. So friendly too! Lori the Concierge was my new best friend... More

The people could not have been more accommodating, the the facility is fine. But the neighborhood surroundings are a somewhat borderline, so don't be surprised, especially if you show up at night. Easy walk from Penn Station.

If you only have one night to spend in NYC (like we did), stay here! Perfect for Time Square. We stayed in a room with a view - bedroom suite that looks right out on Times Square and a sitting room with a view of the city and the river beyond. It was a little cramped for 4 with only... More

We greatly enjoyed our stay at this hotel while in NYC. Joshua Daly of guest services really stood out and made our stay wonderful and we couldn't appreciate him more! From check-in to check-out he made sure that everything went well and he always greeted us with a warm welcome.

I've seen here that quite a few other reviewers had a positive experience with the staff from this hotel and I wasn't sure until I actually arrived there. Hospitality and professionalism are the main keywords for all of the staff that we've met there. Special thanks to Thomas for his awesome advices of places to visit! He was extremely helpful.... First off let me start by saying that I did not stay at the hotel, but I sent clients once again. The service never ceases to be amazing and I have to give a shout out to Jennifer at the front desk for taking excellent care of my clients during their anniversary stay. Thank you for arranging their surprise in... More

Six members of my family stayed at the DoubleTree on 36th in New York for seven nights in March of 2015. We were very well accomadated and all the staff were great. Sal at the door was always full of energy, friendly and helpful. He was a delight. Jennifer at the desk made all of us feel comfortable and welcome.... More

We found this hotel to be convenient to many area sights without the noise and hustle and bustle of being right in Times Square. The metro station was a short walk, as was Times Square. We found the rooms to be clean, yet small in terms of floor space, or storage for clothing. We especially appreciated the Concierge; Nisha. She... More

You are in Times Square NYC. So that is cool. At the Doubletree you are right there in the middle of everything -- and can walk to all of the touristy destinations and restaurants. That is fun. So, yes, location is the best part. Check in: Was great. The person who checked me in was really nice and outgoing. I... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
