Recently finished up a 10 night stay at this property from the 4th of October. Our double standard room had epic views towards Lower Manhattan and this made each day awesome to wake up to. For $540AUD per night it was well worth it. Location and accommodation pretty swell. Looking over the Bowery. Close enough to the High Line for... More

This is situated in the East Village which is just a stone's throw away from Soho, Nolita & Chinatown, so, location is faultless. It is also about 7-10min walk to 2 subway stations. Pros: 1) Well designed rooms, though rather small, there was good use of space. 2) We had a north facing room on the 18th floor and had... More

What I love about this hotel is the location and the nice/big windows to see downtown Manhattan. I was there for more than a week for business. First room I got was on a low floor and facing a inner courtyard.... depressing. So I asked them to move me to a higher floor and they did! Not bad. 2nd room... More

While there was nothing particularly wrong with this hotel, for the reputation, and cost it has you would expect more, the special factor...but the feeling was not there... for what you pay you would think you can borrow a travel adapter, instead while it is available in the room they charge you for using it!!!! you may a well buy... Recently taken over & renamed The Standard. They try hard at reception but the food is rubbish. Two days in succession we had to send food back. Day 1: cold scrambled egg & toast Day2: bacon was awful clearly pre cooked and reheated but arrived burnt and very greasy .. Very unpleasant. Coffee was stewed and tasteless and no one... More

I would like to thank Kash at the Concierge desk for tracking down a rental car, making reservations and then tracking me down to let me know where to go to pick up the car, and the reservation number. Then she confirmed it with an E-Mail. Thank you so much.

I've stayed here 3x in the last three months and cannot say enough good things about it. The staff is friendly and goes out of their way to help you and the views are stunning. As a former New Yorker, this place feels like home.

I accidentally booked my reservation for the wrong day, and Ben from the reception desk not only corrected the error but went out of his way to assuage my stress by putting me in a better room available that night. All the glamour of The Standard but with the warmth of a small boutique hotel.

I stayed here on a business trip to NYC. The staff were very friendly and helpful on checkin. The room had nice views but small (normal for NYC!). Comfortable enough but didn't feel special. Would happily stay there again but not somewhere I would seek out as a go to place.

First, I'll start by saying I booked at the last minute using the Hotel Tonight app, so we got a great rate. I appreciate any hotel that participates in last minute rate dropping. Now my list of pros and cons: Pros: - great location in the East Village. Fun restaurants nearby, Upright Citizens Brigade, close to the subway, etc. -... More
