Well me and my mother stayed for 3 nights and we arrived and luckily a room was ready, As soon as we opened the front door my mom was laready disappointed with the stairs. I liked the lobby, small, cute, and cozy, but the room was extremely small. Bathroom even smaller. Luyckily we had no bedbugs or rats, i was... More

After reading the many reviews on this website it was with great trepidation that I travelled to this hotel. My husband and I had won a competition to New York and this hotel was part of the prize - no laughing. I would not have paid £235.00 per night for this hotel which I found out to be the room... I'm a travel writer, so I sleep around a lot. I don't mind hotels that aren't four-five stars, but this is a hotel I would not recommend. FIrst off, I had no idea there was no elevator. Granted, it's a 1911 building and it's New York, but I don't recall easily seeing that on their website. The nice doorman did... More

We stayed at the Marrakech for 3 nights, it is dark, dingy, smells funny, has noisy pipework and has too many stairs and the staff are miserable. On positive note it seemed clean and the bed was comfortable. The worst thing about this hotel is it's security - we paid for our luggage to be kept in a secure room... More

we stayed in this hotel april 2006. it has since changed its name. they were in the middle of renovating this hotel whilst we were there, although this didn't cause any problems to us. there was no lift so you have to lug your bags upstairs to the lobby then up more stairs to your room. we were given a... I booked a last minute Business trip to new York last week, and due to the Marathon, was limited on availability in most hotels. I read about the bed bug issues so called the hotel direct to stress my concerns and they ensured I had a room that was clean. (As they are aware of the rooms that have problems)... More

I never tend to write reviews of hotels, but felt compelled to comment on this one as my boyfriend and I were really quite disappointed. We booked the Marrakesh having looked at their impressive website, and went in with a fairly pragmatic 'let's just give it a try' approach, having read of good and bad experiences on this site. We... My wife and l stayed for 6 nights last month and after reading the reviews on here were prepared to roll with the punches.... The doorman carried our bags all the way up to the 5th floor and it was nice to see someone on the front door at all times, pretty comforting. These guys were all very friendly but... More

My brother and his girlfriend have just returned from a stay in this hotel. My brother was woken at 0500 to a half eaten bar of chocolate on his locker and a rat (aaaaaaacccch) scurrying about his room. They tried to check out with Reception but were told that they'd have to go through the website they booked it with... More

People need to cut these guys some slack. I visit New York pretty often but this was the first time a friend couldn't give me a place to stay, so he recommended me to stay at this hotel that he heard about in the neighborhood. I checked online for reviews and honestly they weren't too great. So I called the... More
