I spent three nights at this hotel in September. The location is good if you need to work in Upper Manhattan. The metro station is in the corner if you need to travel elsewhere. The room I got was very small (this is the case in many NY hotels) and the bathroom tiny. No breakfast but close by cafeterias that... More

If you are the kind of person who just uses their hotel for a night's rest when they visit a vibrant city, this is fine. We had room 409 and yes we had to climb stairs but we knew that when we booked. The room was a little noisy but again, its a hotel in the city that never sleeps... More

The most wonderful hotel staff we encountered of the 3 NYC hotel we stayed at this trip, and one of those was the Waldorf! The location is great, within easy walking distance of the Hudson River and Central Park. We got a discount voucher for a nearby deli and there's a brilliant diner very close. There were a couple of... More

We chose this hotel for the location. Check in was smooth and the reception team are really helpful, and chatty. BUT trying to get to sleep was a complete nightmare. If you do stay here don't stay on the ground floor, we were in 14 it was the worst room ever, firstly the safe and luggage room is down this... More

We stayed in this hotel over the weekend of the NYC marathon. The staff were friendly and the rooms were comfortable. We had problems with the booking through Booking.com which resulted with the money being taken twice. This was sorted within 2 weeks but was not an ideal start. Upon arrival, we were given the key to the wrong room... More

The good: Great location Surrounded by lots of restaurants, bars and shops Short distance from the subway and express train into the centre (2 or 3 train) Staff friendly and helpful with bags The bad: Noise - noise from the street can be terrible at night, even with earplugs I was awoken at night by noisy people or loud service... Great little budget hotel on the Upper West Side. The hotel doesn't have a ton of needless facilities but what it does have is tons of charm and great staff. Rooms are small but feel homely and a lot like a NY apartment room. It's a perfect hotel for a younger couple who'd rather spend cash elsewhere and aren't bothered... More

Dear Tennear , Thank you for your lovely review! One of the perks of staying at the Marrakech Hotel is definitely the location, as we are away from the hustle and bustle of Times Square area but steps away from the nearest subway station which can take you to the heart of the city and pretty much everywhere in New... On our arrival to NYC the hotel emailed to state that our room had been flooded and that we were to be relocated to a nearby hostel for the night. Upon our journey back to the hotel the following day, we were given a room on the top floor. There are no elevators in the hotel so if you have... More
