This hotel is okay. Don't expect anything amazing (because you really would be disappointed). I cannot fault the staff as they have all been very friendly and accommodating, but I would be lying if I said the hotel wasn't a little tired and shabby looking. But to be fair (and having stayed in NY before) I think the same can... More

We found this Hotel to be a very Friendly hotel. This Hotel's staff was extremely helpful and friendly. This hotel is GREAT LOCATION! With that being said, this hotel is a bit outdated. There is not an elevator the rugs are tattered and there needs to be more light in the rooms. It is very clean and tidy. I don't... More

We arrived late at night after traveling from the UK. We were met at the stairs and our luggage carried (as there is no lift) to the room. However, at reception we were then told that the room with 2 double beds that we booked was not available due to plumbing problems. However, the staff were very helpful and we... More

I was utterly disappointed! My room was cold, there was no central heating and a draft came in through the window (outside it was 28F!!!). I was offered another blanket and an electric heater... My room was not cleaned on the next day until I asked for it in the afternoon...and when it was cleaned, things remained on the floor!!!... More

Staff was very friendly, but otherwise the service wasnt very good. The radiator in our room was broken and it was freezing cold. We informed the staff and found out at night that they have brought an electric radiator to our room. Our room wasnt cleaned for a couple of days, what was pretty odd. The wifi doesnt work properly.

We stayed at Marrakech for three nights before moving to the Royal Park Hotel down the street. Even though the two hotels have the same rating, we immediately wished we could go back to Marrakech. Small room and no elevator but the staff was helpful and friendly and the rooms were comfortable and fairly quiet (we were on the 4th... More

The hotel was quite significantly different to the photos on their website. Carpets were scruffy and old, and the feel of the place was more like a youth hostel. No lift, and we were on the 5th floor, so it was quite a trek up all the stairs after a busy day on our feet. It was quite far up... More

Dear Afm1542, Thank you for your comments regarding your stay at the Marrakech Hotel. I am glad you enjoyed your time in NYC and was able to take advantage of our new beds to give you that restful nice sleep. I agree that the hallway carpets are a little worn and as a result, over the next few weeks, we... More

Mixed experience during our stay in early March. It really isn't as great as some reviews suggest, but it really isn't anywhere near as bad as some say either..... Good The price - very cheap by Manhattan standards. The location - 10 minutes on the subway to midtown. The staff - always very pleasant and friendly Very clean Mostly quiet... More

Me and my classmates stayed at this hotel during the Columbia convention, the hotel is decently priced and has free wifi! Another plus are the friendly staff and the cute little lounge room and mini bar. The beds are comfy and enough space is provided, but it is very loud, the staires are creaky and the showers were not staying... More
