We stayed here for nights. The room was small but clean, and very close to the subway which made travel around NY easy. There is a Starbucks directly beside, again, handy for those morning coffees, and a stall over the road for fruit. The cons, the central heating came on in the middle of the night, and it was extremely... more

Be warned -- 18-20 steps UP to the front door and 25+ more from floor to floor--narrow, poorly lit stairwells make it a challenge for all but mountain goats with built-in headlights. Special bonus--no elevator. Advice: don't bring a suitcase. You can also construct an accurate subway timetable given the station that seems directly below the hotel -- and keep... more

This hotel is a complete mess. The rooms and the bathrooms are very small. The wc isn't very reliable. The room is and stays filthy. With your fresh towels you get long dark hairs for free. In some rooms the temperature is as high as in a sauna and it isn't possible to adjust the radiator. In all the rooms... more

First, this is NYC and hotels are expensive. We booked this hotel in an effort to keep costs low - and I truly believe you get what you pay for. This hotel is not horrible, but it's not good either. I would have to think that you could get something better for the same rate, but not being from NYC,... more

I booked to go to NYC a year ago and to be honest I was a little nervous about heading to this hotel after reading some of the reviews that appeared after we booked however the whole trip was AMAZING!! We were up on 103rd street which was a perfect location as it was nice and quiet at night. There... more

As usual I'm quite surprised at some of the reviews on here. People seem to think they've booked 5* accommodation at this price! Here is my breakdown: Access: Yes, there are a long flight of stairs and no lift, BUT there were porters every time to carry my bags and they were very chipper about doing it too. Lovely people... more

I just spent six weeks travelling around the northeast of the USA...mainly NYC, Boston, Cape Cod and the islands and Connecticut. I stayed in hotels the entire trip. I stayed in this hotel on the final two nights of my trip, prior to returning to Europe. Here are the problems with this hotel, in a nutshell: 1) many websites lead... more

I have just checked into this hotel. I have already raised my concerns with front desk at how absolutely disgusting this hotel is. The pictures on the website are nothing like the room I received. I do not joke, I can only get my suitcase to stand beside the bed and the other side is up against the wall. The... more
