Great location but oh dear, one to avoid. Tiny room (the first hotel in my years of business travelling where you can't use the toilet without shuffling round to close the bathroom door behind you), noisy ac, no bar and disinterested staff. It's just a sad place to be. Stay away.

I am so sorry you got that impression of Morgans. Our rooms are average size for NYC. Lounge will reopen in September. No excuse however for your comment regarding our staff. I do wish you had pointed out why you had that impression which is very rare for Morgans. Please contact me directly as this is something that I need... More

Thank you for your review. Just to clarify, Morgans is and always will be a boutique hotel and that is in fact why many of our guests choose to stay with us. It is not one of the large chain properties. The room size is average for NYC. I do not mean to come across as arrogant but we have... More

If you are looking for something extra cool, check the penthouse suite. This is heaven. Huge, 2 floors 2 terraces, great decoration. Nice fully equipped kitchen. Incredible midtown views. I will never forget

Thank you and yes - some of the best views in the city! It is great for a special occasion, like a Honeymoon or Anniversary and we hold events in there as well. So happy you enjoyed it. Kind regards, DR More

I stayed at Morgans at Madison Ave for 4 nights and the only thing i can rave is the location. The pictures on the hotel website were too well taken that it differs too much when I checked in. I booked a 1 bedroom suite, and i was allocated to a room on 5th floor. The room was so dark... More

Thank you for your review. So sorry you did not enjoy the property. We had actually made improvements to every room in the first quarter of the year. I will try to locate the room you stayed in which is not hard to do as you mention a Suite on the fifth floor and there are only two of these.... More

Very good and confortabile hotel situated in a strategic position. High breakfast Quality and service. Non so easy to find because there is no sign on Madison Avenue. The restroom is too small but on average compared to other locations

I really enjoyed staying there and found the shower was excellent thought the bathroom was limited in space. Breakfast was very enjoyable. Room was slightly dimmer than useful when searching in bags for things.

Thank you so much for your review! The good news is that our new lighting is here and is being installed! It will add so much more light to our rooms. In addition to that, since our guests were having trouble locating the dimmer on the bathroom light switch we are changing those out as well! New lighting at Morgans... More

The fact that my room had two letters that indicated the bar is open and then find out that you don't have one was very inconvenient and advertised on your website. sorry but that will prevent me from staying here again.....

I am truly sorry - that was my personal oversight. The Lounge is closed in the summer due to lack of demand. New York has so many outdoor venues that are popular in the summer months! My mistake. The letters have been updated and the Lounge opens right after Labor Day! Regards, DR More

The room was dark and there was no window view at all. We asked to have a room with nice view but... With that price we paid we had room with no view, aircondition with terrible noice all the time and dark room!!! Only good thing was the location.

It was a great experience, it has been 25 years since the last time we were there, it was nice to see you kept the integrity of the way we remembered the rooms, right down to the round mirror on the night table, very nostalgic! The feel was the same. It was like old times again with a updated new... More

Thank you so much and it is so nice to hear we have been consistent over the past years. The hotel has been renovated several times since then but with the original Designer, Andree Putman. See you around the Holidays! Kind regards, DR More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
Midtown
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
