I stayed at the YMCA Vanderbilt hostel one night in mid-August last year. My room was a single one without the bathroom. Everything looked old and kind-of-crappy, but honestly, it was not dirty (even the bathroom was clean). The room was kinda small and the bed and furniture were not great, but hey it's a hostel. Noise was acceptable, but... More

I enjoyed my stay here, mainly because e47th is a great location. I was upgraded from a dorm to a single room, which was amazing. I mean, still pretty small but having privacy was great. There was a free gym which I kept meaning to use.. ahem. 24hr card access was great, and the staff were helpful. Plastic sheets on... More

Great location, only a small walk to Rockefeller Plaza, and the subway station, and a few blocks from Central Park. Room we had was quite small, but comfortable. Wifi was good, but didn't work too well in our room. Overall a reasonable price for the location.

We stayed here for 4 nights and we never had any problems. We arrived way before check in time and the receptionist allowed us to enter our room, because it wasn't used the night before. We had a double private room (bunk beds). It felt cramped but we had a fridge. However we had no control over the heating, so... More

It is extremely dirty and so small room that you can not even walk or leave your luggage etc...., the receptionists are not friendly at all, it is very expensive for the price you pay. The location was not that bad.

Stayed with my girlfriend, the price is good if you're traveling with someone else, otherwise for solo travellers it's a little bit expensive. Staff is good, they allowed us to early check-in. It's very clean and the only problem is that the room is very, very tiny, smaller than a cruise ship room. Beds are very good and they have... More

I stayed in the hostel with a few friends on a school trip. We didn't spend a lot of time in the hostel itself due to the schedule we were on, so for us it was perfect. The twin bedrooms were small but gave enough space for what we needed, however if the stay had been longer I think the... More

It has rather low prices since it's in Manhattan. We stayed 7 days in a basic room for two (refrigerator, TV, a small table). The first room they gave us was undecent: door almost can't be opened, very bad window. We asked for a different room, and they gave us a different one. This one was a normal room, but... More

First of all, location was easy access and there had many shops around. I got a newly renovated room. Although my single room was tiny but it was cleaned and bed was comfy enough. The property also offered communal kitchen too......Great !!!

I stayed here with my brother, we shared a small private room with a bunk bed. The bed was not great but it was good enough, I wasn't uncomfortable, I slept fine and felt fine in the morning. The shared bathroom was clean and simple. The staff were great! very helpful and friendly! If you want a fancy hotel I... More

Staying in Midtown

Neighborhood Profile
This is the iconic New York that so many visitors imagine before they visit - spectacular skyscrapers like the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building, iconic public buildings like Grand Central Terminal and the New York Public Library, and the non-stop hustle and bustle of the city streets. Fifth Avenue is a shopper's paradise where you can find every kind of store imaginable, with fashion brands ranging from the affordable to the ultra-fancy. Visit Rockefeller Center to experience towering Art Deco grandeur, and foodies will love the busy restaurants that stay open late in Koreatown. After dark, Midtown calms down a bit, but at any time of day or night it still feels 100% New York.
